Quick results from a packed Hope Center in Adrian, MI.

1.Phil Atlas d. Brad "Freakin" Martin

The 3 time IWR King of the Independents Champion "The Amazing" N8 Mattson made his way to the ring along with 1/2 of the IWR Tag Team Champs Josh Movado and began talking down CIW, and there champ NITRO. Mattson continued to state how he was going to take the CIW belt from NITRO, and there was nothing he could do about it. Then the man himself NITRO came to the ring and attempted to answer questions that Mattson was asking, only to have the Amazing one pull the mic away every time NITRO attempted to talk. The two champs were then face to face when The Elite's music hits and out comes " The Mastermind" Dave Duponte And CK3. CK3 asked why he was not in the match for the gold tonight since he has beaten both of the champs before. So Commissioner Tim then takes the mic and states " I make the matches", "and if the fans want a 3 way dance, winner take all, then they got it." Once again N8 Mattson and NITRO get face to face, and when the Commish gets in between them to calm the situation, Mavado pushes the commish down and all four men ( N8, Movado, NITRO, and The Commish) had to be seperated by security.

Oliver sent in the following report:

I just got home from a weekend-long tournament by the german promotion wXw, that features 16 fighters from 16 different promotions like Dragon Gate, Pro Wrestling Noah, IWA Mid-South, Ring of Honor and more. It was a pretty awesome tournament with some surprises (El Generico beating the powerhouse Bad Bones and Are$ winning against
Nigel McGuiness). At the end the winner was Chris Hero, who has been a regular at the promotion for quite a few years now. A stand-out was also the Pro Wrestling Noah star Go Shiozaki, newbie Big Van Vader rose to stardom and the Dragon Gate team of Matt Sydal and Ryo Saito beat the team of Claudio Castagnoli and Emil Sitoci in one of the
best matches I have ever seen. A little sidenote, I have been at the first live event in almost ten years and it was a very small crowd in a small club with great heat and it was very RoH/CZW-based. During the Bosporus/Shiozaki bout you have chants for both guys, that went on for minutes. The DVD of this show will be available in June on their webpage. A future shows of the wXw will feature the Dragon Gate stars CIMA and Dragon Kid.

A similar tournament took place last week in England with Nigel McGuiness winning.
