Update on the current NWA World Title Heavyweight Title situation - info
On Monday, May 14, 2007 at 12:39 AM EST The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the finish of last night's TNA Sacrifice PPV, where it initially appeared going off the air that Kurt Angle was the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, will end up resulting in an announcement that the title will be held up.
This will be announced during the first hour of TV tapings tonight in Orlando, FL to air this Thursday night on Spike TV. This will set the stage for the official split between the NWA and TNA Wrestling, which NWA jumped on first late Sunday night.
The plan is to have the title held up and to debut the new TNA World Heavyweight Title at next month's Slammiversary PPV in Nashville, TN in a King of the Mountain Match where a new champion will be crowned.
