TNA debuts new mascot last night, Dish Network issue + 'Year One' DVD
On Monday, May 14, 2007 at 5:09 PM EST For those who didn't see the PPV, TNA introduced a new mascot called Stomper, which is a kangaroo. The impression is that it will be going somewhere down the line. Keep in mind the company brought back cage dancers at a recent PPV and didn't repeat it ever again, so we'll have to see if it was a "PPV only" thing or if it shows up at tonight's TV tapings in Orlando.
There was reportedly some issues with Dish Network last night in ordering the TNA Sacrifice PPV. The show started, but would act as if it wasn't ordered.
TNA is reportedly looking into putting together a DVD release called "TNA Year One" which would feature matches and a documentary of the first year of the launch of TNA in 2002. The estimated release of the DVD could be coming next year. The goal is to give new TNA fans a background of the promotion in its early Nashville days.
