UFC President Dana White confirms a ''conference call'' with Kurt Angle
On Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 5:31 PM EST According to an article by The Daily Star in Great Britain, UFC President Dana White confirmed he would be speaking with TNA star Kurt Angle today (May 17). White was asked about Angle being linked with the ever growing sport along with former WWE star Brock Lesnar who makes his MMA debut this June.
White said quote about Angle and Lesnar, "I have a three o’clock conference call with Angle this afternoon. Lesnar would be interesting but I do think it would be very hard for anyone from pro-wrestling to make the jump into UFC right now."
Based on White's comments, it appears Angle could be starting serious talks again with the UFC when many in the business felt Angle was simply just bringing up MMA to gain publicity.
