'Movie project' involving The Rock gets acquired by Sony, A&E, + Laurer
On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 4:47 PM EST PWInsider is reporting that Sony Pictures recently acquired "Southland Tales" which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Smith and Sarah Michelle-Gellar. The film has had problems finding a distribution deal after it received poor reviews at the Cannes Film Festival last year. There remains no timetable for when the film will be released.
Speaking of Rock, he recently hosted the Tarus Stunt Awards this past Sunday in Los Angeles. The show will air on May 25 at 10:30pm ET on the A&E Network.
Joanie "Chyna" Laurer is scheduled to appear on The Howard Stern show tomorrow morning. That should be interesting.
