Jeremy Borash on Sabu, Rob Van Dam/TNA talk, Benoit in TNA and more
On Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 5:15 PM EST According to The Pro Wrestling Torch, Jeremy Borash recently discussed a number of TNA topics with The Pain Clinic radio show in Rochester, NY. Here is a brief recap of the topics discussed:
- Borash said that Sabu was one of his closets friends in wrestling. He said after Sabu wrestled his last match with TNA at last year's Lockdown PPV, Sabu told him not to worry since he would be back real soon. Borash added that it was a mistake to have Sabu speak on TV with WWE/ECW.
- Borash said there were no official talks between TNA or Rob Van Dam at this time. He added that it would be great to see an RVD vs. AJ Styles match in TNA.
- Borash confirmed that Chris Benoit was close to signing with TNA before, but WWE made a money offer that was too good to turn down.
- In regards to the 90 day suspension given to Austin Starr (Austin Aries), Borash said you have to go with the talent that most wants to participate. He added that he went to bat for Starr coming into TNA early on and now regrets doing it. Borash said that Starr was a great talent, but wished his head was in a different place sometimes.
- Borash said TNA would be holding its first House Show in Syracuse, NY very soon.
