Hey, I just got back from 5/30 the Nashua, New Hampshire Pride baseball game billed as "Wrestling Night" featuring Triple H. This is an independent league baseall team, that usually gets about 1,000 people a night. I arrived at 6:30, there were very few people in the stands, but a line had aready fromed for Triple H who would be signing free autographs from the 4th to 6th inning. Triple H was introduced by a local radio personality out ont he field and accompanied his niece out on to the field. They played the DX music while she threw out the first pitch. Triple H walked off the field to his own entrance music, while hitting his signature pose. He was wearing short and a Pride t-shirt that had "Triple H" and the number one on the back. He had some sort of brace on that was visible from the bottom of his shorts. He walked with a very slight limp that was almost unoticable. Before every new batter they would play a wrestling song, from Big Show to MVP to the Ultimate Warrior.
After the first inning, my friend and I decided to get in line. Once the 4th inning rolled around there were at least 500 people in line, which was about half of everyone in attendence. Innitially, the Pride said he would only be signing one item, but Triple H offered to sign anything you wanted. About an hour into the signing, staff walked down the line and said that he could only sign one item at a time from now on, so everyone could get something signed. It was almost the 6th inning by the time my friend and I got to the front of the line. He was very pleasant, and had a soft spoken demenor to him. He said he would see everyone at SummerSlam. He took the time to say hi to everyone pose for as many photos as you liked, and sign what you had for him. We left at the beginning of the 8th inning, and he was still signing with a considerable line behind him. He seemed like a cool guy who was willing to stick around until everyone got a chance to at least shake his hand. The security was also giving out photos of HHH if you wanted them signed.
Overall a very fun night, and Triple H is a stand up guy willing to please the fans who come out to see him.
