With all of the buzz between Tracy Smothers vs. Jason Bane in a steel cage match, for the title, at the August 5th "Night of Legends" extravaganza, it's a shocking note that June 3rd's "Hot Summer Nights", the Blue Meanie became the new CAPW Champion. The match started slow, then became a Dance Off between "Da Blue Guy" and "The Wild Eyed Southern Boy" in which, when it was Meanie's turn to dance, he was blindsided by Smothers. But, even with the shifty Smothers having help at ringside with JT Lightning and Jessicka Havock, they were no match for Bane's unexpected appearance. Bane showed up and the entourage bolted. Smother's saw the Bane-line, which Meanie capitalized on and won the CAPW championship. After the match, the crowd saw an extremely tense moment between Bane and Smothers in which Jason eluded to the fact that it was he and the CAPW champion in the cage, no matter who the champ was. With Jason Bane leaving and the crowd loving what just took place, it looks as if the "Night of Legends" could have a new main event on the card?
