Ring of Honor returned to the National Guard Armory in northeast Philadelphia, PA last night before a good, loud, and enthusiastic crowd. ROH drew this crowd despite at least 3 major competing independent shows in a 200 mile area: Jersey All Pro Wrestling in Rahway, NJ; CZW's Tournament of Death in Smyrna, DE (which started over an hour late and ran until 8:00 pm); and Hermie Sadler's UWF show at Fort Meade, MD.

Do or Die Results

  • In one of the best pre-show matches that ROH has held, Pelle Primeau defeated Rhett Titus, Mitch Franklin and Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne in a four way elimination match to retain the Top of the Class Trophy

  • Damien Wayne defeated Rex Sterling with a brainbuster

  • Deranged and Azrieal defeated Gran Akuma and Mike Elgin with a combo top rope Ace Crusher. Kind of disappointing to watch Akuma work babyface, as he's a great, creepy heel

    Main show results

  • Matt Sydal defeated Hallowicked with a Shooting Star Press

  • Lacey (with Jimmy Jacobs) and Daizee Haze wrestled to a time limit draw with a great chicken hell finish that saw Jacobs take Lacey out of the ring after taking a pounding from Daizee Haze...just long enough to go to the time limit draw

  • Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw with their Package Piledriver/Brainbuster combo on Jigsaw

  • Davey Richards defeated Matt Cross with the 14:59; after the match the rest of the No Remorse Corps beat up Cross until Erick Stevens and Delirious made the save

  • Delirious defeated Rocky Romero with a rollup; post-match, another brawl between the NRC and the Resilience and Delirious went on

  • Mark and Jay Briscoe defeated Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli in 2 straight falls to retain the ROH World Tag Team titles; with Jay Briscoe pinning Hero in the first fall, and the Briscoes hitting a Doomsday Device on Claudio Castagnoli for the second fall.

  • Brent Albright defeated BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Rave and Erick Stevens in a Four Corner Survival when Albright pinned Whitmer

  • In an excellent match, taped for the second ROH PPV, 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson defeated Nigel McGuinness with the Arms Across America submission even after Danielson got busted open head butting Nigel.

  • Takeshi Morishima defeated Roderick Strong with the Backdrop Driver to retain the ROH World title

Two matches were announced for the "Death Before Dishonor V: Night Two" August 11th return to Philadelphia: Takeshi Morishima defending the ROH title against Brent Albright; and Delirious/Resilience vs. The No Remorse Corps to a Philly Street Fight.
