Bryan Danielson required three staples to close a gash in his head that he suffered during his match with Nigel McGuiness at ROH's event in Philadelphia on Friday. Danielson was opened up after a series of stiff headbutts between the two. As reported earlier, this match will air on ROH's September PPV.

Speaking of, ROH's reasoning for taping that match between Danielson and McGuiness was the promotions way of giving back to the Philadelphia audience that helped put them on the map in the wrestling industry and as a surprise to the live crowd. ROH will tape the remainder of its September PPV in Chicago Ridge, Illinois on June 23. It should be noted that ROH only opened up the bleachers on one side of the building in order to give the appearance that the venue was packed for its television airing.

In another injury note, Jimmy Rave suffered a sprained back at the Philadelphia event as well. He isn't expected to miss any time in the ring as a result of the injury.
