5th Annual Commissioner's Cup Tag Team Tournament this Weekend:
Live Events this Saturday, June 23 & Sunday, June 24 @ West Paterson, NJ

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Live Independent Wrestling Federation action returns with the Fifth Annual Commissioner's Cup Tag Team Tournament Weekend this Saturday, June 23, 7:30 pm and Sunday, June 24, 4 pm at IWF Centre, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ. The events feature an eight-team, two-day, single-elimination competition, plus several non-tournament bouts. Here's a preview...

The card for day one this Saturday, June 23rd features four First-Round Matches. In the Main Event, new IWF Tag Team Champions Kevin Knight and Nick Sabre tangle with former IWF Champion and OVW Wrestler Damian Adams, the 340-pound mastodon Franciz, and Commissioner Rich Ross. Ross, furious his family lost the Tag Team Titles to Knight and Sabre last month at Mayhem, has recruited Adams to join Franciz in this special 3-on-2 Handicap Match with the Titles on the Line!

IWF Heavyweight Champion Tony Torres and Junior Champion Antonio Rivera with Eloy Fiesta of Latin Revolution team to face the combination of former American Champion Chris Steeler and Jana. Torres and Rivera are former two-time Tag Team Champions and look to capture their first cup. It will be interesting to see how Steeler and Jana mesh as a team after Steeler has recently adopted a win-at-all-costs mentality.

Former Tag Team Champions Burnin' Mike Durnin and Steve Camacho square off against American Champion Travis Blake and former American Champion Outlaw Shane O'Brien of The Ross Family. Blake is a former four-time Tag Team Champion while the Outlaw is a former two-time Tag Team Champion, and they look to combine their expertise as they team up for the first-time-ever in an effort to capture the cup.

The final Commissioner's Cup First-Round Match June 23rd pits IWF Wrestling School rookies Rey Calitri and Dan Schwartz against former American Champion Justin Corino and the rugged Frank Scoleri. Can the rookies defy the odds or will Corino and Scoleri continue their recent dominance?

There will also be a Special Interview Segment with The Ross Family, and the IWF Wrestling School Graduation of Rey Calitri & Dan Schwartz. Your referee is Jason Roberts.

The card for day two this Sunday, June 24th features the Tag Team Tournament Semifinals featuring the four winning teams from June 23. Then its on to the Tournament Finals featuring the two winning teams from the Semifinals. There will also be several Non-Tournament Matches featuring Dan Marques, Big Nick Gregory, and Jason Roberts. Referee is Matt Bennett.

WWE Trainer Dr. Tom Prichard Hosts Clinic at IWF Wrestling School:
2-Day Clinic, Seminar & Tryout August 18-19 @ West Paterson, NJ

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Independent Wrestling Federation is pleased to announce that WWE Developmental Talent Trainer Dr. Tom Prichard returns to conduct a WWE Seminar, Clinic and Tryout at IWF Wrestling School, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ.

Prichard, a former WWE Tag Team Champion with The Heavenly Bodies and The Bodydonnas, hosts the two-day clinic on Saturday, August 18 from 12 to 5 pm, and Sunday, August 19 from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Day one includes a seminar, in-ring drills, basics and fundamentals. Day two includes a videotape study, promos and evaluation.

This is a must for all wrestlers and students to have an opportunity to get scouted and coached by Prichard in this two-day clinic. This marks the 10th clinic Tom will host at IWF Wrestling School since 2002.

Clinic is open to all IWF students and graduates, and independent wrestlers with at least one-year of training experience. Pre-registration is required. For registration information, visit www.WrestlingIWF.com.

Established in 1999, IWF Wrestling School has trained hundreds of wrestlers from 15 states and six countries that compete in bouts for organizations around the globe, including WWE, ECW, OVW and TNA. Open House Tours are hosted Tuesdays and Wednesdays anytime between 6:30-10 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays between 12-4 pm.

IWF Wrestling School hosts periodic Clinics with current stars and legendary performers. "The Greatest Intercontinental Champ Of All Time," The Honky Tonk Man will make his AIW debut on 6/23 against one of the cockiest members of the AIW locker room, Teddy Fine. Teddy has campaigned for this match, telling "Absolute Owner" Chandler Biggins that he will end the Honky Tonk Man's career to make a name for himself in AIW. Teddy has been on a losing streak in AIW but was given the match to once and for all shut him up. Honky Tonk Man, on the other hand, has told AIW officials, he's coming to Taylor for a good time, and Teddy Fine won't ruin his time.

DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: "THE PANTHER" TYRONE EVANS VS. RAYMOND ROWE - NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH
Two of the biggest, toughest and meanest AIW superstars will clash for the first time ever in Taylor. Both are at the lowest points of their careers right now. Tyrone is coming off a knockout loss caused by Thrillbilly and Raymond Rowe lost the Absolute Title to Steve Corino. This match has been deemed a "Number One Contenders" match by AIW, thus the winner will become the top contender and receive an Absolute Title match in the future. Will Ray win, and go on the road to win his title? Will Tyrone finally get the big win he's been promising for almost a year?

INTENSE TITLE MATCH: TYLER BLACK (CHAMP) VS. PATRICK HAYES
Tyler Black coming off his big win over Starless/Shiima Xion for the Absolute Title meets a staple of the Intense Division, "KegStand" Patrick Hayes. Hayes coming off a big win over Teddy Fine, has already made plans in Michigan and at the Alpha Beta Duke Frat House to have the biggest party ever seen for when he wins the title. Is he looking past this match for the chance to party? Tyler Black has said that he's planning to hold the title forever and nobody can beat him.

ABSOLUTE TAG TITLES: ALPHA BETA DUKE (CHAMPS) VS. CJ SENSATION/DIOS SALVADOR
Alpha Beta Duke brings their tag titles to Michigan for the first time in a big title defense against Dios/CJ. Dios/CJ, a makeshift tag team to fight Team Big League, have decided to make a go as a permanent tag team. Dios/CJ in their second match have already been given a Tag Title shot because of the huge win CJ Sensation got on "Sweet & Sour" Larry Sweeney in their last match up. Alpha Beta Duke have been on a roll as well winning the Tag Titles recently. Will CJ/Dios be able to defeat the established tag team that out weighs them by almost 300lbs?

"BIG LEAGUE" JOHN MCCHESNEY VS. "THE DEVIANT" MICHAEL HUTTER
A match that's been building since Gauntlet For The Gold, Mike Hutter and John McChesney will finally go one-on-one in AIW. During the Gauntlet, McChesney constantly annoyed "The Deviant" leading to Deviant chasing McChesney around the ring until McChesney actually eliminated himself. These two are both huge
stars in AIW, and the winner of this match will decide the future of both men's career in AIW.

6MAN GRUDGE MATCH: REVELATION 13 VS. THE CUTTHROAT CREW
All 6 men of both factions will involved in a match for the first time. The Cutthroat Crew ("Bloody" Morty Rackem, "Ruthless" Rufio Rapier and "Dirty" Syd Smythe) will battle Revelation 13 (Shirley Doe, John "The Passion" Thorne, Matthew Justice) in a falls count anywhere battle that's been building for almost a year. Last month, Shirley Doe revealed himself as the REAL leader of Revelation 13, and has vowed to end the feud with The Cutthroat Crew by murdering them. Doe, Thorne and Justice has taken violence in AIW to a new level, using glass, fire, tables, thumbtacks and blood to spread their message of hate. Will this be the swan song of The Cutthroat Crew in Absolute Intense Wrestling?

STARLESS VS. SHANE HOLLISTER
Shane impressed officials enough with his match at Absolution 2, that he's in one of the biggest matches in his career. Starless coming off the lost of his Intense Title, has something to prove. He's been able to keep the title for almost a year, defending against a who's who of wrestling such as AJ Styles. AIW officials will be looking at the winner of this match for future Intense Title matches for sure.

SHIIMA XION IN ACTION
Self proclaimed "International Superstar" Shiima Xion will be in action at Absolute Redemption but no match has been signed as of this writing. Shiima is capable of working almost any style, so it will be interesting to see what impact Shiima has on this show.

JIMMY KOSAR WILL CALL OUT DETROIT SPORTS TEAMS!
Cleveland bred Jimmy Kosar will be at Absolute Redemption and has told AIW officals, he is going to call out Michigan sports teams such as the Pistons, Lions and Tigers and tell the fans of every team why the Cleveland Cavs, Browns and Indians are better. How will the fans in Michigan react to this?

FLIP KENDRICK VS. BRYAN LYNDON
After an impressive showing the 6-Pack intense Scramble at Motor City Death Wish, these two young members of the Intense Division will go one on one in a match that should see amazing high flying maneuvers.

Tommy Rich has been a major player in professional wrestling for well over 25 years. Another athlete who was wise beyond his years, Rich???s fiery demeanor and textbook wrestling technique propelled Rich to early and major success. Rich became the youngest ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Harley Race in April of 1981, and went on to capture several other national and regional championships throughout his career. Rich, a southern boy born and bred through his entire career, experienced an unlikely career resurgence in ECW in the late-90s as the leader of the ???Full Blooded Italians???. Known as ???The Big Don???, his Italian heritage was always highly in question, but his toughness never was, regularly surviving wars with everyone from The Blue Meanie to New Jack. Now, Wildfire makes his way to CAPW to battle Chris Cronus, someone who much like Rich, has achieved major success at a very young age. It???s the old guard vs. the new guard August 5th when Cronus meets Tommy Rich.

TRACY SMOTHERS??? OUTBURST AND FALLOUT TO AIR ON STO

Following lengthy meetings with management and attorneys alike, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling has green-lighted the controversial footage of Tracy Smothers??? rant shortly following his losing of the CAPW Title, to air at least in part, in a future edition of Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling on Sports Time Ohio. Furthermore, in regards to Mr. Smothers??? demands concerning his addition to the Night of Legends Steel Cage Championship Match, and the individual reactions to the situation of both champion Blue Meanie and challenger Jason Bane, CAPW officials have chosen to remain very tight-lipped on the situation, and have stated they will let the videotape speak for itself. Once an official airdate for this three-way CAPW Championship saga has been decided on, we hope to be the first to inform you right here in a future press release.
