Deaths of Chris Benoit, Nancy & Daniel ruled a "double murder-suicide"
On Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 12:54 AM EST According to sources in the Fayette County Police Department, police are working under the theory that the deaths of Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel was a double murder-suicide. WWE has also picked up on this story, but with minimal details.
In what has to be the most shocking part of the story, police are working under the theory that Benoit killed Nancy on Saturday, killed his son Daniel on Sunday and then killed himself on Monday afternoon.
According to an unnamed source in the department, Benoit was found dead in his weight room, Nancy was found dead in the living room and Daniel was found dead in his bedroom. Lt. Tommy Pope told ABC News that the "instruments of death were located on the scene" but wouldn't go into details about what they were and where they were found. Pope also added that the department was not actively searching for any suspects outside the home.
