THE AYATOLLAH OF ROCK 'N' ROLLA COMES TO MARYLAND CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
Maryland Championship Wrestling has signed the former WWE & WCW World Heavyweight Champion CHRIS JERICHO to appear at MCW's 7th Annual SHANE SHAMROCK MEMORIAL CUP on Sunday, July 8th in Dundalk, MD (just outside of Baltimore, MD).
Jericho has wrestled all over the world, most notably in World Wrestling Entertainment, World Championship Wrestling, and Extreme Championship Wrestling. Jericho is a former 7-time WWE Intercontinental Champion (a record), and was the first Undisputed Champion, winning the WWE & WCW World Heavyweight Championships on December 9, 2001, defeating The Rock & Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night.

SHANE SHAMROCK MEMORIAL CUP VII TOURNAMENT UPDATE
Following tradition, the previous Shamrock Cup winner, current MCW Tag Team Champion RUCKUS, will get an automatic bye into the Shamrock Cup VII Finale.
10 men will compete in the qualifying round, with the winners advancing to the finale.

» After winning the Battle Royale match on April 22nd at the Orpington Halls, Aviv Maayan became the proud holder of a golden Royale Reward ticket. What does that mean? Well, he can have (within realistic reason) any match of his choice in IPW:UK.
Last year, Maayan’s running buddy Andy Boy Simmonz waited until October and cashed in his Royale Reward at a perfect time, taking the IPW:UK title from Martin Stone after the former champ had been beaten down by the FWA’s Alex Shane.
This year however, IPW:UK have cracked down to stop that happening again, and told Maayan that he had to announce he was using his Royale Reward a minimum of 7 days before he planned to collect. Therefore, over the weekend, Aviv Maayan put in his request for an IPW:UK Title match against JC Thunder for July 15th’s Unfinished Business – the stipulation being that it is a LUMERJACK MATCH.
Maayan was keen to point out that he had hand-picked two great Lumberjacks in the form of Andy Boy Simmonz, and LT Summers, two men who earlier in the night will go two-on-two with Stixx and Stone. This is of course, assuming that Simmonz and Summers make it out alive.
