Results from July 4th, 2007
WWA brought action from the WWA WareHouse to the Grand Shoppin Center parking lot, with the show being big! It was announced by WWA Executive Director Gloria Shockley that we would be have a Huan Chess Tournament during tonights show. She also told everyone to show up for this Saturday's show.
We kicked of the show with the July 4th Rumble, with Nathan Briggs, Preston James, Rufus Lee Wilkins, Lobo the Clown, Dameon Blood, Democracy, Mark Wilson, and T-Mo. The first one eliminated would be out of the tournament, and the winner of the rumble would go into the triple threat main event to determine the winner of the tournament. Well, Preston would get eliminated at the get go, eliminating him from the tournament. As the stars were eliminated, it would be found out that T-Mo would win and go to the main event. The crowd was very ticked off.
The next match was the second match in the Human Chess Tournament. It would be an elimination trpile tag match, with three men being eliminated. The rules were, when one man got pinned, the one pinned would be eliminated and their partner would advance. We would see Rufus tag with Lobo, Briggs with Wilson, and Blood and Democracy (with Cameron King). Rufus was the first to be eliminated by Briggs, then Briggs was eliminated by Democracy. It would have been a fatal four way in the semi finals, but Dameon decidied to hit both Democracy and Cameron in the head with a kendo stick, whichgot him eliminated. That meant the semi-finals would be a triple threat between Lobo, Mark Wilson, and Democracy.
The next math was a very special match for the fans. It would be Máscara Blanca vs Reyes El Scorpio. This high action match was great for the fans. There were more spanish chants for Scorpio. Scorpio won after an exhausting match in the sun.
Now, it was the semi-final match in the Human Chess Tournament. It was then discovered that, during the tag match, Lobo had injured himself (it was found out later that he had broken his wrist) and would be substituted by Briggs. The rule was the man pinned would be eliminated and the winners would face T-Mo in the main event. This match looked like Wilson and Briggs would go on, but Democracy would pin Briggs by holding his tights in the roll up. That meant Mark Wilson and Democracy would advance and face T-Mo.
The next match was a very special match, with Gloria Shockley facing up against Lilith Blood in an arm wrestling match. It looked fair, but instead, Lil pulled the oldest trick in the book by throwing powder in Gloria's face. Security had to get the two seperated and clean the ring before the main event started.
Main event time loomed upon us, when it would be T-Mo facing up against Mark Wilson and... his partner in The King Consortium, Democracy! It was two-on-one for most of the match, until Demcracy decided to do a back body drop on Mark Wilson, but he reversed it in mid air, hitting T-Mo with a sunset flip, eliminating him. It was now only Mark and Democracy. After a few shots by Wilson, he went under the ring, pulling an American flag bandana out, apulled out it's contents; 100 Black Cats!!! He tried to light the directly on Democracy, but failed, and went to the corner and light them, throwing them at him. As they went off, Democracy got hit bad by them. Mark won, getting a huge pop! Democracy then announced that this Saturday, he would face Mark for the WWA Texas Title in a Texas Deathmatch, stating he didn't see normal ropes, but barbed wire. What does this mean?
WWA is ready to bring you a big show this Saturday, July 7th, 2007, supposedly the luckiest day in history. Could this be true for our superstars?
This Saturday, Nathan Briggs gets his big opporotunity at the WWA Championship, one-on-one, T-Mo. Could this be his lucy night, or will luck be with T-Mo?
Democracy told Mark Wilson that he would defend his WWA Texas Title against Wilson this Saturday, but that it would be like the old Funk days; a Texas Deathmatch! What will entale from this match, and who will leave with the Texas Title?
Also, a rematch from July 4th is in hand, when Gloria Shockley will face Lilith Blood in a singels match. Can Gloria get payback from her wedding night, or will Lil destroy our Executive Director?
Last, rumors in the back state that there is a new official in the WWA. It's said that he is known big by the fans. Who in the world could this be?
The only way to find out these answers and others, check out the show this Saturday at 7:00 PM in the WWA WareHouse(200 N. Lincoln). We shall be waiting for you to check out the best wrrestling promotion in the Amarillo Area!!! =D
