NWA World Tag Team Titles to be defended at Rising Phoenix Wrestling on July 14 in Mesa, Arizona

When “The Real American Heroes" Joey Ryan & Karl Anderson entered the Convention Center in McAllen, Texas on Sunday July 8, they had the opportunity of a lifetime—a chance to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles. When the coin flip didn’t go their way, the duo was backed into a corner by having to defeat two teams in a gauntlet match to capture the vacant belts. A pull of the tights defeated Sicodelico, Jr and Incognito in the first fall, and the miscommunication of their opponents plus interference from manager C. Edward Vander Pyle lead to the defeat of Billy Kidman & Sean “Syxx-Pac" Waltman in the championship fall.
Now the champs must turn around and face their first challengers less than one week later in Mesa, Arizona. Rising Phoenix Wrestling is proud to announce that Ryan & Anderson will come to the Grant Woods Branch of the Boys & Girls Club on July 14 to defend their titles against the tough and talented duo of TNT—“Mr. 300%" Brandon Nitro & Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran Johnny Dynamite. Nitro & Dynamite are undefeated in tag team competition in RPW, and are also the current NWA Pro / Empire Wrestling Federation tag team champions. This is just another in a growing list of great matches put on by RPW thanks to our partnership with NWA Pro. June 9 featured a first round match in the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, and now we are bringing Arizona wrestling fans their first NWA World Tag Team Championship match in nearly 20 years.
Additionally, Australian superstar Mikey Nicholls returns to RPW for the second straight show. After winning a tag team match in his debut, Nicholls must now step into the ring with the Hawaiian Lion, who is fresh off his second tour with All Japan Pro Wrestling. Both men are looking to put some NWA gold around their waists, and this international showdown will be a huge first step towards a future NWA World Heavyweight Title shot.
On July 14, 2007, Rising Phoenix Wrestling presents another family friendly night of great wrestling action. The doors open at 7:00 PM.

NWA Upstate Goes to the Fair
NWA Upstate's next show is this Friday July 13th in Henrietta, New York. NWA Upstate and AC/DC tribute band Ball Breaker will be teaming up for a 1-2 punch to headline Friday Night at this year's Monroe County Fair. Both shows are included in the admission price of the fair.
NWA Upstate's show starts at 7:30pm and Ball Breaker's show starts at 9:30pm
