Final 7/12 TNA iMPACT! rating; number down again & demographic notes
On Monday, July 16, 2007 at 4:47 PM EST The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that last Thursday's 7/12 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 1.0 cable rating (1.2 million viewers). This is down from last week's 1.1. and the 1.2 rating the week before that, marking a two week slump for TNA in the ratings.
It should also be noted that while an episode of "UFC Unleashed" after TNA drew a 0.9 rating, the show actually drew higher demographics than TNA did (1.04 vs. 0.73 in males 18-49 and a 1.0 vs. 0.55 among males 18-34). These numbers indicate that TNA continues to be weak among younger men, who are much more likely to watch UFC on the network instead. The demographic numbers seem to indicate that TNA drews more women, kids and older men, which aren't valuable to Spike TV because of their advertisers.
