Notes on 1PW challenging IPW:UK + Power Trip Wrestling on August 17
On Friday, July 20, 2007 at 3:04 PM EST Daniel Edler sent this in:
» IPW:UK had a hot hot hot Summer last year, as we saw Doug Williams and Go Shiozaki take on The Briscoe Brothers in a massive main event tag match, and this year looks to go one better, as SWISS MONEY HOLDING - ARES AND MARC ROUDIN, the current IPW:UK Tag Champions, make their Orpington return!
Plus, do you usually pre-purchase your tickets to IPW:UK? Well, for the rest of 2007 you just might want to, as there could be some special added extras for those of you who do!
For all of this and much more, get to Orpington on August 26th as we have a Summer Sizzler in Kent! For more information or to buy tickets head over to http://www.ipwuk.com right away!
» A long long time ago, Darren Burridge was a regular at the Orpington Halls. But due to a poor rapport with fans, and a poor win/loss record, Burridge started to ply his trade elsewhere, and found himself enjoying life a lot more on the Northern side, up with One Pro Wrestling - 1PW.
After opening up the challenge to everybody and anybody to come and bring their best to us as fighting Inter-Fed Cup champions, 1PW were the first to reply - and after a few jitters - it appears everything is set for August 26th.
As it stands, one August 26th, it will be James Tighe versus 1PW rep Darren Burridge. If 1PW win, they get a shot at the Inter-Fed cup later down the line on home turf, but if IPW:UK win we move onto the next challenge. With that in mind, we're sure to be looking for other promotions to battle with real soon, so keep in touch all you UK promoters!
» After months of being on the right side of things when it came to the Untouchables as backup, in April Martin Stone found himself on the wrong side. After being turned on by Jack Storm & Dave Moralez, Stone was out to get revenge and trust nobody. But maybe he softened a little after in May at Royale Rewards, former running buddy Jonny Storm proved that there are people out there who can be trusted.
When backup was called for, why not reach back into the past and bring forward to the present those with whom you reach your highest success. And in bringing back Stixx & Dean Ayass that is what Stone has done. Now, with the numbers game now in Stone's favour for the first time in a long time, maybe it's Storm and Moralez who need to keep their eyes in the back of their heads?
Either way, on August 26th live at the Orpington Halls, see the undefeated tandem of Stixx & Stone go two-on-two against the sadistic and hateful pairing of Jack Storm and Dave Moralez. Only one thing's for sure - you wouldn't want to be the one refereeing this one!
Other News:
-- Rumours persist that new Hated Hero Billi Lightning will be back in Orpington on August 26th, and this time he wants to get physical!

Power Trip Wrestling are happy to announce the next show will be on Friday 17th August, in Luton; and will be titled "Glory Days"! There's a lot going on in and around PTW right now, and we will be updating you as we get more news; but here's what we got for you right now....Including the big news of a new PTW Championship!
NEW PTW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BELT!
First things first, Power Trip Wrestling are proud to announce the new PTW Cruiserweight Title, which will be introduced in the next month or two. More details will be announced very soon, as the UK Wrestling scene gains another showcase for it's cruiserweight talent to shine upon!
MAIN EVENT ANNOUNCED!
We can tell you now, that the main event for the show on August 17th will see TBW Heavyweight Champion Shabazz, facing off across the ring against the monster known as Stixx! This match has a proven track record, with their feud having spanned other promotions in the UK; but this time around it has a twist! Stixx, knowing of Shabazz's winning streak in PTW, has decided to take the advice and the offer of being in his corner from none other than Lucian. Shabazz has faced off against Lucian a lot in PTW, and clearly Lucian wants Shabazz taken out of the picture and will side with whoever necessary to make it happen! Rumours are abounding as to who Shabazz will ask to be in his corner for this main event, and we hope to have it confirmed very soon for you. One thing is for sure, if it's the person who's name keeps coming up when this subject is mentioned; then both fans AND wrestlers will be shocked to see him in the corner of Shabazz considering the issues that they have in other promotions where they both work.....
MEAN N' GREEN VERSUS AN UNLIKELY TEAM!
Leading from the events at PTW "Faith, Hope, & Charity", PTW Owner Peter Staniforth has attempted to kill many birds with one stone. In the "Hair VS Beard" match, Peter lost his temper at the end and stated that Leon X and Jim Brooks would be forced to team together in August in an attempt to end their ongoing feud and put it all aside once and for all. And in the TLC match that followed, the team known as "Mean N' Green" - Anton Green and Maverick - went on to steal the UKPW tag team titles, which lead Peter to coming out and making the match for PTW "Glory Days", where Leon X & Jim Brooks will take on Anton Green & Maverick. Added to the fact that Leon X and Jim Brooks don't actually WANT to team together, is another factor that both Peter Staniforth and "100 %" Dan Edge will be in their corner; and these two are well known not to get along in any shape or form. In theory, the team known as "Mean N' Green" should be set for a victory here as their opponents are very unlikely to be able to get along - but in PTW, stranger things have happened, however unlikely they appear.
HITTING HARD!
In what could well be the stiffest match of the evening, the man who defeated intense odds to win the PTW 'Invitation Only' Rumble at PTW 'Faith, Hope & Charity' on July 6th, Brian Braddock; will face off against 'Diamond' Damon Kruiz. Over the months and years, these two have been on the same side, only to have been involved in a quite bitter and physical parting of ways. Braddock is toughness personified, who many believe in time may well become the 'Franchise Face' of PTW, and a man who can truly be respected and looked up to by all. Kruiz, on the other hand, has embraced his dark side and just loves to hurt people since his re-appearance. Kruiz is an ex FWA star, who is technically sound and some; mixing that with a bitter and angry streak is danger for Brian Braddock. But people have been known to hit Braddock with everything AND the proverbial kitchen sink, and him still somehow get back up.... Where will this one end up?
