  • Race To the Top Second Round Match
    6. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Mike Quackenbush in 12:27.

A segment took place where Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuiness drafted teams. After assorted promo fun, the following teams were picked: with Team Dragon consisting of "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, Matt Sydal, Austin Aries and Mark Briscoe; and
Team Nigel consisting of Nigel McGuiness, Roderick Strong, Delirious and Jay Briscoe.

  • Race To the Top Semi Final
El Generico defeated Davey Richards with a turnbuckle brainbuster to move on to the finals.

  • Race To the Top Semi Final
Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jack Evans in 9:09 to move on to face El Generico in the finals.

    Non-tournament

  • Erick Stevens defeated Kevin Steen, Jigsaw, Hallowicked, Matt Cross and BJ Whitmer in 10:58 when he pinned Jigsaw.

  • Team Dragon vs Team Nigel for "$10,000" in a snigle fall match. Team Dragon wins when Aries pins Nigel after a 450 splash in 20:39. It was 3 on 1 for a while as the Briscoes teamed up to beat everyone up then left and teammates Delirious and Strong then brawled to the back leaving Nigel on his own.

    Race To the Top Final
  • Claudio Castagnoli defeated El Generico in 18:47 to win the Race to the Top Tournament. This match was great with tons of false finishes that had people walking away, thinking they'd seen the finish, then turning around and coming back at least 6 or 7 times.

(EDITOR'S NOTES: Ring of Honor returns to Edison on October 6th. Hopefully it'll be a lot cooler, as the Inman Sports Center building was brutally hot last night, with absolutely no air flow [what those in the crowd think was a thermostat said 84 degrees at one point in the wrestling venue, and that doesn't count the added temperature under the Ring of Honor lights]. There were large fans in the building which were not used. Adding to the heat, ROH and Arena management wouldn't permit people to take liquids to their seats, although many people found creative ways to sneak them in just to survive. Given the temperatures, the crowd was amazingly animated even to the end)
