The following was issued by TNA Wrestling yesterday:

Atlanta, Georgia, (August 2, 2007) – Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling is returning wrestling “Glory" to Atlanta. In what promises to be the most talked about pro wrestling event of 2007 and the biggest night in the company’s history, TNA Wrestling announced that “Bound For Glory 2007" will be held live at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Atlanta on October 14, airing exclusively on pay-per-view.

“The city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia have been a part of so many wonderful moments in wrestling history, and now we’re thrilled to bring what can only be described as an unbelievable night unlike anything ever seen to the loyal wrestling fans of Atlanta," TNA President Dixie Carter said.

“Bound For Glory" will return former Olympic Gold Medalist and current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle to the site of his greatest amateur wrestling achievement. Angle, the self-professed “greatest wrestler alive," won gold at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta before winning every major professional wrestling title in the industry, including the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in 2007. In addition, “Bound For Glory" will return “The Icon" Sting to his former home city of Atlanta, a town home to more TNA superstars than any other in the country.

TNA officials have also confirmed an all-access chance to meet the stars of TNA at “TNA Bound For Glory Fan Interaction" on October 13, which will put the stars of TNA up close and personal with the fans for a once in a lifetime experience.

Tickets for “Bound For Glory" will go on sale Saturday, September 8, at the Gwinnett Center Box Office (6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy., Duluth, GA 30097), all Ticketmaster outlets, online at or by calling (404) 249-6400 or (800) 326-4000. Several TNA stars will be in Atlanta for the on-sale event.
