WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings (Air Date: August 24):
- The show kicked off with Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman coming out trying to figure out who was Vince's son on the WWE roster still. Kane came out trying to make it seem like it was him. Kane demanded a match with Finlay. McMahon instead signed Batista vs. Finlay for the main event, but also booked Kane vs. Finlay at SummerSlam.
- Chris Masters was out next with an old photo of him with Vince McMahon, trying to say he was his son. McMahon said Masters had a scrawny neck back then and couldn't be his son. Masters tries to get a Masterlock Challenge started with Kane, but Kane chokeslams Masters and leaves. Chuck Palumbo comes out on his bike and this goes into...
- Chuck Palumbo defeated Chris Masters.
- Funaki defeated Chavo Guerrero via DQ. Chavo came out with a doll head wearing a Mysterio mask. Chavo was DQ'ed by the referee for not obeying his orders. After the match, Chavo put Mysterio's mask on Funaki and tried to take out his knee the way he took out Mysterio.
- Jamie Noble defeated Jimmy Wang Yang.
- Deuce & Domino retained the WWE Tag Team Titles defeating Eugene & Shannon Moore.
- Backstage, MVP was with Teddy Long. MVP said he could beat any champion on the Smackdown brand. Long played along and said he could probably win the tag team titles. MVP agreed and told Long he would team with whoever walked through the door next to challenge Deuce & Domino for the tag titles. Matt Hardy walked in and Long books the title match for next week.
- A 1-on-1 Basketball Challenge took place between WWE U.S. Champion MVP and Matt Hardy. MVP bragged about having NBA stars as friends, but missed an easy layup. When Matt Hardy came out, he threw the basketball ball in MVP's face. Deuce & Domino then ran out and attacked both MVP and Hardy.
- Mark Henry defeated Brad Allen.
- A Divas Bikini Contest took place involving Michelle McCool, Victoria, Torrie Wilson and Kristal. Michael Cole hosted the contest and wanted the crowds reaction to determine the winner. Instead of declaring a winner, Cole brought out Mae Young who started to strip. Cole announced her as the winner.
- Batista vs. Finlay ended in a No Contest when The Great Khali got involved.
