NWA Upstate, IPW:UK celebrates third year + SuperEx Showdown, BSE

Finally an NWA Upstate Update! - the Indytational Tournament
Usually this time of year means time for the NWA Upstate 8 tag team tournament, but this year Upstate officials have decided to take a break from the team tournament. Instead there will be “The Indy-Tational", a one night singles tournament consisting of 6 men, with the winner getting an open contract to sign himself in any match he wants, whenever he wants. This tournament will have a very unique structure as the first round will be only two singles matches, decided by a random draw. This leaves 2 men with an automatic bye to the second round where they will face the winners from round 1. The winners of those matches will then face off to decide the winner of the tournament.
So far the names signed up for this tournament are NWA Upstate World Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Olsen, CZW's Ruckus, Judas Young, international star Sterling James Keenan, "Fabulous" John McChesney, and the 6th man will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Who will become the first Indytational Tournament winner and get an open contract to use against anyone he chooses?
The rest of the matches signed for Saturday, September 29th will be announced in the following weeks.
So on September 29th, be there at Minett Hall in Henrietta, NY for the debut of the Indytational Tournament! Tickets are available at Woody's II (2758 West Henrietta Road), Millennium Games & Hobbies (3047 West Henrietta Road), and by calling the Upstate hotline at (585) 621-4293.

» It’s hard to look back and see where the time has gone, but this September we will be three years old – and what a time that has been. Our past two Anniversary events have been acclaimed and adored by fans in attendance, and our First Anniversary show DVD has been one of the most purchased events that we have produced. And on September 22nd and September 23rd, we do it all over again.
Featuring Tables Ladders & Chairs matches, a Submission only Title match, Johnny Saint’s coming in to open the British National Championship and a first time euro-wres clash between The Kartel and Swiss Money Holding for the IPW:UK Titles, the whole weekend is set to be stacked to the top.

» After a great weekend for JC THUNDER, and a terrible one for ANDY BOY SIMMONZ, all is right in the world of IPW:UK!
On Saturday evening, IAN LOGAN, JAKE MCCLUSKY and BLOK BUSTA settled the score once and for all (probably?) with THE THRILLERS, while Andy Boy Simmonz was unable to defeat the highly charged JAMES TIGHE. Meanwhile elsewhere, ‘All Eyes On Me’ DAVE SHARP suffered a defeat in his singles debut to ‘The Irish Giant’ EAMON O’NEILL – against whom STILL nobody has scored even a two-count!
In addition, DAN HEAD defeated one third of Swiss Money Holding, MARC ROUDIN (who, alongside ARES, also had a bad weekend – the seemingly undefeatable were defeated 3 times in 2 days!). It was not all smiles for TERRY FRAZIER however, who suffered an injury to his bicep, but has guaranteed to be available for September 22nd.
And of course BILLI LIGHTNING had an evening to remember, first making his pro wrestling debut and actually getting a victory in VERY dubious circumstances, before going on to have a SECOND match in the same evening, in the main event’s 8-man tag team match up. Expect to hear more about Billi Lightning’s involvement in September 9th’s Sittingbourne “Summers Time" event shortly.
» Also last night, in what could possibly be considered a shock, just 24 hours after defeating Andy Boy Simmonz in a rare loss, James Tighe was defeated by JON RYAN, meaning that on September 22nd live from the Orpington Halls we see Ryan vs. Slam #3 for the All-England title, and this time, it’s under TLC rules – Tables are legal, Ladders are legal and Chairs are legal! It’s IPW:UK annual tradition, and this year we’ll see the first ever IPW:UK Anniversary singles TLC match!
» Other matches signed for the 3rd Anniversary Weekender are:
- Swiss Money Holding (c) vs. The Kartel – IPW:UK Tag Title Match (Saturday September 22nd)
- Jon Ryan vs. Doug Williams (Sunday September 23rd)
- Jonny Storm vs. Kris Linnell – British National Championship 1st Round (Sunday September 23rd)
- Martin Stone vs. Jack Storm (Sunday September 23rd)
- Stixx vs. Dave Moralez (Sunday September 23rd)
And of course, already announced is James Tighe (IPW) vs. Darren Burridge (1PW) in the Inter-Fed Challenge, AND to open the British National Championship is none other than the legendary British World of Sport star Johnny Saint!
All-England Title TLC Match!
- Sam Slam (c) [3 defences] vs. ‘The Bad Boy of British Wrestling’ Jon Ryan {#1 contender}
IPW:UK Tag Title Match
- Swiss Money Holding © [6 defences] vs. The Kartel {#1 contenders}
