Early reaction to list of wrestlers now made public by Sports Illustrated
On Friday, August 31, 2007 at 3:53 AM EST The Wrestling Observer is reporting that following the list of 14 wrestlers compiled by Sports Illustrated that is now become public, probably the most interesting names made public include Randy Orton, John Morrison, William Regal and Umaga.
All four are key characters on television for the WWE, with Orton involved in a high-profile feud with John Cena, Morrison holding the ECW World Title, Regal recently being named as the new Raw General Manager and Umaga still carrying the WWE Intercontinental Title.
Mr. Kennedy and Chavo Guerrero could also be thrown in as key characters for both brands, but with Kennedy likely having the higher value on TV at this point. Others like Edge and Gregory Helms will be more low profile since both are out for an extended period of time with injuries.
It is believed that WWE didn't make the decision to suspend these workers along with others on the "list of 10" until Wednesday at the very earliest, with a final decision likely being made on Thursday morning. You can expect a lot of media coverage to surface following the SI story. WWE will be making these names public on November 1 officially.
