  • IPW:UK Celebrate Their Third Anniversary This September!

    » It’s hard to look back and see where the time has gone, but this September we will be three years old – and what a time that has been. Our past two Anniversary events have been acclaimed and adored by fans in attendance, and our First Anniversary show DVD has been one of the most purchased events that we have produced. And on September 22nd and September 23rd, we do it all over again.

    Featuring Tables Ladders & Chairs matches, a Submission only Title match, the first Martin Stone/Jack Storm singles bout and a first time euro-wres clash between The Kartel and Swiss Money Holding for the IPW:UK Titles, the whole weekend is set to be stacked to the top.

    Plus, of course, on Sunday September 23rd, we welcome the legend that is Johnny Saint to IPW:UK to open the British National Championship – a year long 62 man British tournament, which begins on that night.

  • THUNDER To Face LIGHTNING For The Title – Saturday September 22nd!

    » After being unable to get his hands on the only Hated Hero still to have evaded him on his path of revenge, this past weekend JC THUNDER, your IPW:UK Champion, accepted the challenge for September 22nd for a singles match. The man in question of course, is Big Brother’s own, BILLI LIGHTNING!

    After winning his first ever wrestling match on August 26th, as covered on Channel 4 last Friday night, Billi has remained unpinned in his two matches since, even though both times he came out on the losing team. Now, with his ego having risen literally through the roof, the cocky glamour model has challenged the Real Orpington Hero himself to a match for the coveted IPW:UK Title. Thunder has defended his gold against Summers and Maayan, having won it from Simmonz – and on September 22nd he has the chance to complete the quadruple.

    » In other news regarding currently confirmed match-ups, should Lightning take the title from Thunder on the Saturday evening, the big grudge Submission match between Simmonz and Thunder will still take place as scheduled. Billi Lightning will have a championship crowning ceremony, to which he has already invited other housemates from this year’s Big Brother series, and some from years past!

    » DOUG WILLIAMS will not be fit in time to wrestle on the Sunday September 22nd card, so his scheduled singles bout has been changed. As a result a couple of card alterations have occurred (detailed below). Williams will be fit for his bout against Jon Ryan on the Sunday evening, but is currently nursing a knee injury suffered while competing for PWG just over a week ago.

    » As a result of Williams’ withdrawal, there has been a change to the line-up for team Sloan, aka The Specialists in the weekend’s opening contest – the 6-man tag. Replacing James Tighe in the threesome will be none other than, making his Orpington debut, tag team partner of ‘The Specialist’ himself, Wade Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald has had to sit idly by at the now trademark merchandise stand, but has the chance to deliver pain to Robinson, Scurll and Brixton himself come September 22nd.

    » As a result of this change, JAMES TIGHE will go into a singles match, but with the likes of Blackjack Phoenix, The Hated Heroes, The Untouchables and Stixx/Stone all currently without announced matches, who he will face is anybody’s guess!

  • And therefore the current card for “The Third Anniversary Weekender – Night 1" on Saturday September 22nd 2007 is:

    All-England Title TLC Match!
    - Sam Slam (c) [3 defences] vs. ‘The Bad Boy of British Wrestling’ Jon Ryan {#1 contender}

    IPW:UK Title Match
    - JC Thunder (c) [5 defences] vs. Big Brother’s Own Billi Lightning! {challenge accepted}

    IPW:UK Tag Title Match
    - Swiss Money Holding © [6 defences] vs. The Kartel {#1 contenders}

    Six-Man Tag
    - The Specialists (Mark Sloan, Wade Fitzgerald & Ashley Reed) vs. The Leaders (Paul Robinson, Marty Scurll & Nikko Brixton)

    Plus Stixx & Stone w/ Dean Ayass, The Untouchables, the rest of The Hated Heroes (Andy Boy Simmonz, LT Summers & Aviv Maayan), James Tighe, the debuting American star Blackjack Phoenix & much much more!

  • And therefore the current card for “The Third Anniversary Weekender – Night 2" on Sunday September 23rd 2007 is:

    - ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone vs. ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm

    Grudge Match #2
    - ‘The Heavyweight House of Pain’ Stixx vs. ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Moralez
