MAIN EVENT

LWL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
MAT MENSA© vs 'THE METROSEXUAL' DANNY DEVINE

Last month at 'WrestleXcess' Mat Mensa defeated 12 other men in a 'Lucky 13' Rumble to become the new LWL Heavyweight Champion. Following the match, as Mensa celebrated his title win, an unknown man ran from ringside and jumped the new champion, before disappearing as quickly as he'd arrived. Enraged, Mensa grabbed the mic and declared that the man who assaulted him was obviously a wrestler himself, if it's a fight he wants it's a fight he'll get, and challenged the unknown assailant to a match this coming month at 'Aftershock'. We can now confirm that the attacker was none other than 'The Metrosexual' Danny Devine, and that Devine has now signed on the dotted line to become part of the LWL roster. Having trained not only in the UK, but also in the US & Canada (at The Storm Academy no less), the self-loving Devine may be one of the newly crowned Mensa's toughest challenges yet!

TGR & THE BOUNCER vs CARNAGE & KRIS NAVARRO

At 'WrestleXcess' Carnage, along with CSL, Navarro & Syxx, was meant to face Team Stark in a match entirely set up by Matthew J Stark. However, with the Heavyweight Title surprisingly up for grabs on the night Stark changed his plans and arranged a match for Carnage against The Bouncer, with Bouncer informed by Stark to ensure Carnage would be in no fit state to compete in the Main Event Rumble. To Stark's dismay Carnage won the match, but The Bouncer had done his job well enough to keep Carnage out of the Rumble, and out of the title scene. This month Matthew J Stark has once again managed to arrange Carnage's match for him, this time pitting him against TGR & The Bouncer, with Kris Navarro (a recent LWL Academy Graduate) as his tag team partner.

MAD DOG MAXX vs 'SIC' NIK DUTT

Last month Nik Dutt took one hell of a beating, not only in his match against Mr Valentino, but also in the 'Lucky 13' Rumble, which saw Dutt limping away in a daze following his elimination. Once backstage Dutt stumbled around until he found a room with a chair in it, and collapsed exaughsted. However, ten minutes later he was awakened with a slap to the face from Mad Dog Maxx, who's private dressing-roon he had stummbled into. Furious at Nik's intrusion, Maxx threw Dutt out of his room and told him that this month at 'Aftershock' he was going to teach Nik Dutt a strong lesson in respect, as he obviously has none.

ALSO

At 'WrestleXcess' last month Mr Valentino became No1 Contender to the LWL National Pride Title. However, Valentino has informed us at lwluk.co.uk that he has yet to be contacted regarding his title match and with double champ Mat Mensa defending his LWL Heavyweight Title this month against Danny Devine, it looks unlikely that he will get his shot against Mensa any time soon. Valentino also told us that Mensa had best watch his back, because at 'Aftershock' he intends to get his hands on the LWL National Pride Title, one way or another!

NCW sent this in:

NCW is proud to announce that Monday night, 6-Time World's Welterweight Champion, "Dirty Deeds" Darren Wyse, slipped off the wrestling boots, put on his bowling shoes & proceeded to roll his first career perfect 300 game at Lion Bowl in Red Lion, Pa

Darren who carries a 210-215 average, and is an accomplished tournament bowler, cranked out 12 successive strikes with a flurry, to the eruption of fellow bowlers.

Wyse bowling in the 2-man Monday Late League was mobbed on the approach by teammate and long time friend, York County Hall-Of-Famer-Tom Dasher, followed by fellow wrestler Kid Kattrell and Lion Bowl proprietor Dave Zelger.

Pandemonium ensued, and the NCW Office is sure that the celebration is still going on.

Wyse, Kattrell, "Pistol' Pete McGraw and several members of the NCW office is headed to Atlantic City, for a personal appearance/business meeting, and will return Thursday.

The office will be closed til then, at which time we'll have more info on this accomplishment. Interviews should be available by calling 717-887-8157, depending on time available during the A.C. excursion.
