Ric Flair story gets picked up by TMZ, wrestlers on TMZ and 'Mad Money'
On Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 4:41 PM EST Samuel C. Lurie passed on a link to TMZ.com picking up on the story about Ric Flair suing a car dealership at this link.
Speaking of TMZ, Michael Weaver, Jr. of wrestlingupdateonline.com sent this in: Last night's episode of TMZ featured all kinds of wrestling. There was a segment on Joanie Laurer being at the Reality Awards last week. They aired a clip of her stating that she had to leave early because she has fans waiting for her in Virginia. The voice-over said "And that's how far she has to go to see them." Then a segment was played on Brooke Hogan at the same show and changing clothes. Apparently they thought the dresses she picked were ugly. I have no opinion because her hair was very distracting. She must use the same barber as Jeff Hardy because I swear there are a million colors in her hair. Finally, there was a segment on whether or not Kevin Federline will be a good father and there was a lot of footage from his WWE stint earlier this year.
Will Bowers sent this in: On Mad Money on CNBC, Jim Cramer did a segment on Jakks Pacific. He was talking about with Mattel having a huge recall, Jakks Pacific might be a good stock to get. What is interested was that Jim did mention about their deal with the WWE and how the WWE is taking them to court. He also mentioned while the WWE has been a good seller, the WWE recent problems have been a reason why Jakks is, in sense, is trying to distance them self from the WWE and how Jakks might not renew their contract in 2009.
(side note, Jim mentioned how Jakks makes WWE and Hannah Montana toys, and honestly, I think it might be the only time on TV where the WWE and Hannah Montana would be mentioned in the same line.)
