TNA Impact Taping Results -- October 25 (TNA Title Match, more)
On Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 3:52 AM EST The following took place on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida:
TNA Impact Tapings for October 25:
- The Steiner Brothers & LAX defeated TNA Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Tomko & VKM.
- James Storm defeated Eric Young.
- Havok vs. Shark Boy vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams went to a No Contest when Team 3D hit the ring and took everyone out. Williams and Havok were put through tables.
- Kurt Angle defeated Sting to become the NEW TNA World Champion. The finish saw Kevin Nash try to interfere to help Angle, but the referee got in his face to push him away. As a result, the referee got bumped and Angle hit the Angle Slam on Sting. Another referee ran down and counted the pinfall. After the match, the two referees argued over the decision. Jim Cornette came out and said he would take into account both statements by the referees and make a decision later tonight. Mike Tenay argued with Cornette a bit and went to the back with him.
- Awesome Kong defeated Angel Williams.
- Junior Fatu defeated Robert Roode. Samoa Joe got involved in the match hitting Roode with a steel chair when Roode tried to hit Fatu with it. Christian Cage did commentary with Don West while Tenay was still in the back.
- Jim Cornette and Mike Tenay return. Cornette rules that since Kevin Nash never touched Sting, Kurt Angle was indeed the new TNA World Champion. Cornette then announces at Genesis it will be Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Sting and a partner of his choosing with the TNA World Title on the line (the person who gets the winning pinfall is champion).
- Xplosion Match: Rhino, Chris Harris & Ron "The Truth" Killings defeated Triple X.
