Funk's Corner - Old School - Short Arm Scissors on Monday Night Raw? Yes and No.

(Monday) night on Raw, Hornswoggle McMahon may have set a record for the smallest person to ever throw Shawn Michaels to the mat. Following the well executed hiplock, Hornswaggle McMahon wrapped his legs around a surprised Shawn Michaels arm.

Triple H made the comment that Hornswoggle McMahon had just applied a "Short Arm" Scissors to Shawn Michaels.

I have used a "Short Arm Scissors" often in my career and I can verify that was a "Short Arm" Scissors but not a true "Short Arm Scissors."

NWA Upstate Holiday Hangover Update

Ricky Reyes is Coming!

Ricky Reyes and NWA Upstate have come to terms on a 3 show deal. Reyes' contract with NWA Upstate will start on Saturday November 24th at Holiday Hangover and will extend into 2008. So be there on November 24th at Minett Hall when Ricky Reyes makes his NWA Upstate debut!

We also have two NEW 2 matches to announce that have just been signed for NWA Upstate's Holiday Hangover card. One is a singles match and one is a big tag match.

The singles match is a matchup between 2 former champions. A former NWA Upstate tag champion, Colin Olsen, goes one on one with former NWA Upstate heavyweight champion "D2" Danny Doring. This will be the first time these two have wrestled each other and Doring is looking to extract some revenge against Colin as it was Colin's brother, Jimmy Olsen, who defeated Doring in the Indytational tournament in September.

The second match is a tag match with the rather recently formed team of CloudLee, "The Right Stuff" Brodie Lee and Cloudy, against a team that has been a team from birth, The McCloud Brothers, Evan & Kyle. This will also be a first-time matchup and the winners could possibly put themselves in line for a shot at the tag titles now held by Rhythm & Booze.

So here's the updated card so far AND we'll keep you updated on even more matches as they are signed within the next few weeks.

Planet Championship Wrestling unveils PCW Funny Car
Bradenton, Florida…November 6th, 2007: Planet Championship Wrestling is pleased to announce that it will unveil its 2007-2008 PCW Wild Experimental Altered Funny Car November 23rd and November 24th

The Grand unveiling is at D'Aritino's Pasta & Pizza parking lot, phone is (941) 727-4900, 7230 52nd Place East in Bradenton (1/4 mile west of I75 on State #70) of the drag car along with its driver from 3 – 6 pm.

Also at the unveiling will be many of the wrestling stars of PCW such as PCW World Heavyweight Champion Apollo, who will defend his title Saturday Night November 24th at Robarts Arena in Sarasota, also The Nasty Boys, Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs, Rico Suave and many more superstars plus the PCW Divas will make an appearance.

A special photograph and autograph signing will be held.

The car and driver will also debut at Robarts Arena as part of Planet Championship Wrestling’s “No Turning Back" tour in Sarasota.
