Update on congressional hearings - baseball & wrestling to be looked at
On Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 6:07 PM EST As reported earlier today, The House Energy and Commerce Committee will be holding hearings on performance-enhancing drugs in sports when it returns from winter recess.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, the two main sports that will be addressed at the hearings will be baseball and pro wrestling. The word making the rounds is that the recent indictment of Barry Bonds is what caused Rep. Billy Rush (an Illinois congressman) to call hearings sooner than previously thought.
