Tribute to the Troops Taping Results in Iraq (WWE Star Returns)
On Friday, December 7, 2007 at 4:20 PM EST The following was taped in Iraq this week to air this month as the WWE's "Tribute to the Troops" special on the USA Network:
- Lilian Garica sang the national anthem.
- Chris Jericho defeated Randy Orton via DQ. Jericho had Orton in the Walls of Jericho, but JBL interfered and took out Jericho with a Clothesline From Hell.
- Jeff Hardy defeated Carlito.
- Vince McMahon came out (in a red suit) and said that WWE stood behind the troops no matter what. McMahon then introduced the Divas.
- Mickie James & Maria vs. Kelly Kelly & Layla went to a No Contest when McMahon declared they had seen enough. McMahon said that Santa wasn't coming to Iraq this year. Santa then came out and talked about Vince being a bad boy. The Santa talked about Vince stealing a magazine showing drunk chicks over 60. The Santa read a fake letter from a young Vince about wanting a rooster for Christmas. Vince said he wasn't Santa, ripped off his beard and it was John Cena. Cena took out Vince and then handed out gifts to the troops with the Divas.
- Rey Mysterio defeated Mark Henry.
- Ron Simmons defeated Hardcore Holly. Simmons gives a "DAMN" on the mic to the troops.
- Triple H & Shawn Michaels defeated Umaga & Mr. Kennedy.
