To follow up on earlier reports today, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that last night's Smackdown tapings in Rochester was JBL's final broadcast as a Smackdown announcer and he will start as a wrestler on the Raw brand at the TV tapings following Christmas.

As noted earlier, Tazz was brought out at the Smackdown tapings to replace JBL on commentary along with Michael Cole. It was assumed earlier that Tazz would be pushed from ECW, leaving Joey Styles, to Smackdown once again. However, WWE has been doing tryouts to fill JBL's open spot on Smackdown for the last few weeks. A final decision will likely be made on December 30.
