JBL Notes - Replacement on Smackdown, energy drink, & career article |

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the decision for JBL's replacement on Smackdown is expected to be finalized tomorrow by Vince McMahon. The list of people that WWE's Kevin Dunn felt performed well in recent tryouts is said to be very short. Michael Hayes, who is the head writer for Smackdown, is being considered for the commentary spot if they don't go with anyone else. Some feel it would be pretty tough for Hayes to juggle both positions, so that could already be working against him.
It is also being reported by The Wrestling Observer that JBL is working with Baywood International Inc. to form a company called Layfield Energy that will produce an energy drink. The drink is expected to be rolled out some time next month.
