Former NWA/ECCW Champion passes away, 'Stampede Wrestling', IZW

FORMER NWA/ECCW CHAMPION MR. GILLIS DEAD AT 44
Former NWA/ECCW Heavyweight Champion MR. GILLIS passed away on Sunday from a heart attack at age 44.
Born in Cornach, Saskatchewan on June 14, 1963 Gillis got involved in pro-wrestling during 1985. He traveled throughout Canada, the Pacific Northwest, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Germany.
Funeral arrangements are not known at this time but as information becomes available, it will be posted on ECCW.com.
Everyone at ECCW is saddened by this news and extends best wishes for the family and friends of Mr. Gillis during this difficult time.

The contenders for the vacant title are Gama Singh, Jr., his cousin and tag team partner "Tiger" Raj Singh, Chris Steele, and The Ravenous One, Ravenous Randy!
