Official WWE statement on '08 Royal Rumble PPV selling out and more
» Reported by Adam Martin of WrestleView.com
» On Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 5:29 AM EST

The following was issued on WWE.com:

Royal Rumble sold out

Two hours isn’t a lengthy period of time. It’s the approximate equivalent to a 130 mile drive (without stops or traffic). It’s two episodes of Lost, and apparently – according to the website Inc.com – it’s the average amount of time an employee wastes on any given workday.

While 120 minutes may seem like an insignificant amount of time to most people, that’s all the time it took for our fans to sell out WWE’s annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which will take place at New York City’s historic Madison Square Garden.

If you planned on going to watch the show live, don’t give up just yet. There’s still a chance. WWE and Madison Square Garden plan on releasing tickets via Ticketmaster.com from now until the Sunday the Royal Rumble invades NYC. Periodically checking Ticketmaster’s Web site is the best (and only) way to purchase additional tickets if they become available.
