Memphis promoter Corey Maclin seeks damages against WWE - full info
On Friday, January 11, 2008 at 4:29 PM EST The Memphis Daily News is reporting that Memphis promoter Corey Maclin has filed a claim for damages against the WWE and Vince McMahon stemming from an event in the city in April of 2007 where a match between Hulk Hogan and Jerry Lawler was cancelled when Lawler was forced to pull himself from the event because of his contract status with WWE and the fact that VH1 would be filming footage at the event for Hogan's reality show.
Paul "Big Show" Wight later replaced Lawler at the event facing Hogan. According to the article, Maclin is "alleging a very real rivalry between Hogan and McMahon led to the cancellation."
