DEVIL BHUDAKAHN MEMORIAL SHOW UPDATE: DOE PICKS HIS PARTNER!

On Saturday night, March 8, 2008, family, friends, co-workers, pupils, and fans alike will gather together at the Carnegie Library (Their Athletic Club), 510 East Tenth Avenue, Munhall, Pennsylvania 15120 to show their love and appreciation for everything that James Fawcett gave to them both in and out of the ring. They'll express that love and appreciation by doing what they do best, something James Fawcett dedicated much of his life to, and what many of them dedicated their lives to right alongside him, professional wrestling. It will be a night to celebrate the life, the times, and the memories of a truly dedicated and special performer, peer, mentor, and most importantly, friend.

After much hard work and effort, show organizers have now begun to formulate what is sure to be a historic card as wrestling stars and personalities, past and present, from throughout the region have agreed to donate their time and join together to remember and honor one of their own.

Just added this week to the card…

PWX Heavyweight Title Match: “Spotlight" Scottie Gash vs. Chris LeRusso
NWA East, perhaps better known in the area for over a decade and a half as Pro Wrestling express (PWX) is one of the most recognized promotions in the history of Pittsburgh wrestling, and was also one of the promotions Devil Bhudakahn called home. It is with great pride that we announce PWX will be represented on this card in the highest form possible: a defense of the organization’s top prize: The PWX Heavyweight Title. Champion Scottie Gash, only a few weeks removed from defeating previous record-setting champion Chris Taylor, defends the gold against one of the area’s most promising youngsters, the current PWX Three Rivers champion, and one of the many men lucky enough to have sat beneath the Devil Bhudakahn learning tree, Chris LeRusso, who will be looking for what could be a career-making victory.

Also, an update on our scheduled main event…

Pick Your Partner: Shirley Doe & CJ Sensation vs. Super Hentai & ???
Shirley Doe and Super Hentai are nearly synonymous with one another thanks to an extremely emotional love/hate relationship that has stretched back several years. Super Hentai was Devil Bhudakahn’s chief rival in the early days of each man’s career. Both men solidified their reputation in the area with high-risk, fast-paced offense with each match turning into a dangerous game of “Can You Top This?". When Devil thought he needed help to put Hentai behind him once and for all, The Hellfire Club was formed, with none other than the madman himself, Shirley Doe, joining Devil as a charter member. On March 8, the rivalry is revisited as Doe and Hentai clash for the first time in nearly five years, with the added high stakes of each man selecting his own tag team partner which will not be revealed until the night of the event. Their last meeting was a Texas Death Match legendary for its brutality. What will Doe and Hentai do to one another this time? Who will each man select to be their tag team partner for this sure-fire war?

UPDATE: Shirley Doe has opted to choose “Snapshot" CJ Sensation as his tag team partner. Sensation, who was the first man to don the mask and assume the identity of the infamous “Mantis" persona, stood side-by-side both Doe and Devil in The Hellfire Club in their quest to destroy Super Hentai. Hentai now knows old foes are re-aligning for one last shot at destroying him. Who will the masked man recruit to help him fight off the faction that nearly ended his career?

In addition to this already confirmed attraction…

Sterling James Keenan vs. Mr. Wrestling III
A contrast in styles if there ever was one as two very distinct and unique personalities will clash in one of the evening’s feature bouts. One, Sterling James Keenan, is infamous as a calculated evil genius. The man behind “Iron City Hardcore" has conquered the world, appearing in virtually every major promotion in existence, and winning championships on multiple continents. His opposition is a transplant from another era of thought. A man who stands for the class and tradition that this fine sport was built upon: Mr. Wrestling III, the latest in a succession of skilled athletes to don the trademark white mask and carry on the namesake of Mr. Wrestling. Sterling has promised he has something special in store for Mr. Wrestling III, but will it be enough? Will the time-tested tactics of the Mr. Wrestling school of thought be enough to tame SJK? Or will Mr. Wrestling III be forced to follow the creed encrypted across Sterling’s own knuckles: “Stay Down"?

Sexual Harassment vs. The Devil’s Advocates
It was the rivalry that dominated tag team wrestling in this area in 2002-2003. A war that saw bones broken, dreams shattered, and two very contrasting lifestyles do whatever it took to become the best in the region. Month in and month out, Devil Bhudakahn led the Advocates into battle against Sexual Harassment, and no matter what the stakes or stipulations, fans were always left with confrontations they would not soon forget. The IWC Tag Team Titles changed hands a staggering five times during this rivalry, a testament to its competitive nature and constant high stakes. On March 8, these two sides collide for the first time in nearly five years, renewing a tag team series still fresh on the minds of all who witnessed it.

“Balls Hot" Troy Lords vs. Jason Gory
Arguably two of the most improved area stars in recent times, both Lords and Gory have taken their game to new heights. For Troy, “Balls Hot" has been “balls to the wall" since rising to the occasion and capturing his first major singles title, the IWC Super Indy Title, in early-2007. The young veteran has pushed himself farther and harder than most in order to prove all his critics that he is truly deserving of his accolades. Meanwhile, Jason Gory has thrived in the tag team ranks, recently capturing the IWC Tag Team Title with partner Shiima Xion, a title he now holds for the second time. Two men who love to push the envelope and take risks, these men definitely embody the spirit and the mindset that Super Hentai and Devil Bhudakahn had during their classic rivalry nearly a decade ago.

CWF Heavyweight Title: The Beast vs. Powerhouse Hughes
The Championship Wrestling Federation, based in southwest Pennsylvania, has been a staple of wrestling in the region for many years, hosting some of the area’s most promising young stars and well-respected veterans. It was also one of the promotions Devil Bhudakahn called home before his tragic passing. CWF will be well represented at the Devil Bhudakahn Memorial Show, as its most dominant champion defends against perhaps its greatest champion. The Beast has dominated CWF since capturing its top prize, gaining a staggering nineteen straight victories. His top student, and perhaps the greatest CWF Champion in history, Powerhouse Hughes, is the current top challenger and looks to reclaim the title he once held for over one full year. It’s the first ever meeting between teacher and student with very high stakes and deep meaning.

Please check back as further matches and appearances are announced in the coming weeks. In addition to the in-ring action that evening, fans in attendance will have the chance to take part in several special raffles and auctions throughout the evening, with the opportunity to win a variety of great prizes, including items made exclusively for this event, as well as personalized memorabilia of various top wrestling stars.

Ticket prices are $15 for front row, $10 General Admission. All show and raffle proceeds will go directly toward James Fawcett's mother Cindy, and his three young daughters, Madeline, Gwendolyn, and Lillian Rose. Tickets will be made available starting January 1 via The Official Devil Bhudakahn Memorial Show MySpace Page at http://www.myspace.com/devilbmemorial

We invite you all to stay posted for upcoming press releases as further updates on this show are made available, and to be a part of this special night in some form or fashion, as we honor our friend, say "thank you", and "goodbye".

AIW “Gauntlet For The Gold 3″ Feb. 24th:
February 24th , 2008 Absolute Intense Wrestling Presents “Gauntlet for the Gold 3"
Steve Corino Relinquishes Absolute Title

As of January 1 st , 2008 Steve Corino’s contractual obligation to Absolute Intense Entertainment, LLC was over. Steve has since retired from professional wrestling and has done everything in his power to defend the title. Due to canceled flights both in October and December Steve was unable to make it to the shows and has no relinquished his title.

Gauntlet Winner Is Absolute Champion

With the title being vacant AIW Owner Chandler Biggins has now signed the Gauntlet for the Gold match featuring 30 men in a royal rumble style battle royal where the winner becomes the next Absolute Champion.

JK & Dios Square Off Again

In October Dios Salvador and Sterling James Keenan competed in a number one contender’s match where the match ended in a draw. With both being the number one contender and the title being vacant, Chandler Biggins has signed a match between the two at Gauntlet for the Gold where the winner of the match is the 30 th entrant into the Gauntlet for the Gold match.

Gargano Gets A Taste Of His Own Medicine

On December 16 th , 2007 at “The Nightmare before X-Mass" Johnny Gargano revealed himself to be responsible for the “Can You Break the Code" campaign that was featured on a MySpace profile. Gargano returned to Absolute Intense Wrestling and quickly challenged Intense Division champion Tyler Black to a match for the title. Gargano did not get the immediate shot at the title and had to face off against Tyler’s friend Shane Hollister. Black still hasn’t agreed to a matchup but is giving Gargano a taste of his own medicine by selecting a mystery opponent at Gauntlet for the Gold 3. The only way Black will accept a match with Gargano is if Johnny can defeat Black’s handpicked opponent.

Necrobutcher Returns For Revenge

At Hell on Earth 3 back in October of 2007 we saw Drake Younger team up with “The Passion" John Thorne at the end of the match and join Revelation 13. Drake then gave Necro a Death Valley Driver off the ring apron through a table to the floor to Necrobutcher. The fans along with Necro have demanded a return and Biggins has signed the deal. Necrobutcher returns on February 24 th at Gauntlet for the Gold 3 to take on “The Passion" John Thorne one on one in a hardcore revenge match! If you thought the 3 way dance at Hell on Earth 3 was brutal both men have vowed to hurt each other in ways that are indescribable.

Hybrid Wrestling: Marion Fontaine Vs. Steve Shilson:
Hybrid Wrestling officially kicks off the 2008 schedule on Saturday night, February 16th, 2008 at the American Legion in Fremont, Ohio.

However, it was only a year ago wrestling fans and insiders alike crucified Hybrid Wrestling management for booking “The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels against the unknown, unheard-of Marion Fontaine to headline the debut event, “Theory Of Evolution". Marion Fontaine was criticized for his lack of experience. Fontaine’s character and ability was also questioned.

That was then and this is now. Marion Fontaine is one of the fastest raising stars in this business and is a household name. His stock is through the roof and if Marion Fontaine has earned the title of “The Next Big Thing", then Steve Shilson has earned the title of “The New Big Thing".

Toronto, Ontario’s own Steve Shilson received a hero’s welcome at “Theory Of Evolution: The Second Coming" and in almost identical fashion to Marion Fontaine’s performance one year earlier; the unknown, unheard-of, and underestimated Steve Shilson was involved in the match of his life. Steve Shilson Vs. Jonathan Hitler was simply amazing and a late match-of-the-year candidate. Steve Shilson’s innovative and suicidal style had the industry buzzing.

That was then and this is now. In an uncanny resemblance to Fontaine just a year ago, Shilson has publicly been criticized for his lack of experience. Shilson’s character and ability has been questioned. It’s not by the fans or insiders within the industry, but by none other then Marion Fontaine himself. Marion Fontaine has been very out spoken regarding the comparisons between himself and Steve Shilson and on Saturday night, February 16th, the critics will once again be silenced. Just signed for Hybrid Wrestling’s debut at the American Legion, “The Mega Star" Marion Fontaine goes one-on-one with Steve Shilson.

You can’t afford to miss this epic encounter on this historic night. By any means necessary, make sure you’re there live when Hybrid Wrestling invades and tears down the American Legion on Saturday night, February 16th, 2008.

Also scheduled to appear: Faith In Nothing, Irish Airborne, Josh Prohibition, Starless, Morty Rackem, Brian Lyndon, Flip Kendrick, Canadian Superstars, Russ Myers, Billy Taylor, Luis Diamante, Shawn Blaze, Sami Callihan, Aaron Maguire, and Bleeding My Breaking Sunset.

Tuesday night, January 29: 4:00 am

Currently scheduled for the broadcast:

Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano vs. Marion Fontaine & Josh Abercrombie
Recently, “Mega Star" Marion Fontaine became the victim of the numbers game when outside involvement from Johnny Gargano and Lexi Lane cost Fontaine his match with Josh Prohibition. Fontaine knew he had to enlist some help, and after consulting his very bizarre and charismatic advisor “Macho Grosh", Fontaine emerged with an old friend, and someone he can certainly relate to: Former MTV star and competitor known all across the United States, Josh Abercrombie. Abercrombie and Fontaine were last seen charging to the ring, looking for a fight when our last broadcast went off the air, and now they’ll finally get what they want. The numbers will be even as the most unstoppable duo in PWO today Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano, with Lexi Lane watching their back, do battle with Marion Fontaine & Josh Abercrombie, with Macho Grosh watching their back. Will the mustached megastars be able to avenge Fontaine’s prior singles loss or will the Prohibiton/Gargano alliance find another way to escape on top?

Vincent Nothing Makes His PWO In-Ring Debut
Recently, Vincent Nothing made a huge mark on PWO and made a major statement at the expense of one of it’s biggest stars. Nothing, who was not under contract to Pro Wrestling Ohio, appeared out of the crowd, brutally assaulting the giant Jason Bane in the middle of Bane’s match with “Amazing" N8 Mattson. Nothing made it very clear that he was not about to be overlooked and was none to pleased that the phone call from PWO to offer him a spot on the roster never came. Nothing intends to prove he is more than just a tag team wrestler, that he can dominate the Ohio wrestling scene once again, just like he dominated Cleveland’s tag ranks for over one year. Nothing makes his PWO debut against Michael “The Bomber" Façade, a graffiti enthusiast and self-described “Suburban Terrorist". How will Nothing fare in his first outing against the tough competition of PWO? And how will Jason Bane react when he’s in the same building as the man who assaulted him for the very first time?

Gregory Iron vs. Virus Grande
Gregory Iron scored the biggest win of his career in his first match back from a life-threatening concussion, cleanly pinning the man many call the future of pro wrestling in Ohio, Johnny Gargano. Since that time, we’ve learned of Greg’s difficult upbringing. From coping with cerebral palsy, to dealing with abuse and drug use in the home, rather than destroy him, Iron has used adversity to make himself stronger. Through it all, wrestling has always been Iron’s driving force, and it seems now his career has finally turned a corner. However, one man who intends to stop Iron’s recent swing of momentum is Virus Grande. He and partner Virus have spent the past several weeks tormenting “Bloody" Morty Rackem, severely injuring Rackem’s tag partner, and also stealing his priceless heirloom swords. Will Virus Grande be able to steal a victory over Gregory Iron? Or will PWO’s most inspirational star go when step further to seeing his dreams come true?

Cronus in Action
He has been, quite simply, indestructible since his PWO debut. The near limitless brawn and power of the monstrous Cronus, mixed with the diabolical greedy mind of Agent Aaron Maguire has led to one of the most dangerous combinations in recent times. Maguire has stated Cronus is so dangerous, he’s had difficulty finding opponents willing to sign their name on the dotted line to face his charge. Well, this week, Cronus will be matched up against two. Young competitors Benjamin Boone & Bobby Beverly have signed on to the task, but have they signed their death certificates in the process? Agent Aaron Maguire unleashes Cronus wants again, and when Cronus gets competition, Maguire gets cash.

M-Dogg 20 Will Be In Attendance
“The Innovator of Aerial Insanity" M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross has been battling a very serious leg and groin injury in recent weeks, but has informed PWO officials that although he is not yet cleared to compete, he’s going to make an appearance at our next television broadcast. Rumors circulate he may be there to support Gregory Iron, whom M-Dogg has aided in the past when it came to Iron’s troubles with mutual rivals Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano. What does M-Dogg have planned this week? And how will the rest of the PWO locker room react?

Morty Rackem in Attendance
“Bloody" Morty Rackem will join us with comments pertaining to his recent troubles with Virus & Virus Grande, the status of his tag team partner, and what the future may hold. What message will the bloodthirsty pirate give to the men who stole his most prized possessions?

Tune in the weekend of January 26th for all that and more! Remember, Pro Wrestling Ohio is only available on Sports Time Ohio! If Sports Time Ohio is NOT part of your DirecTV or Dish Network package, no matter where in the U.S. you are, call your satellite provider today and demand STO! CHIKARA: WWF Legends Demolition & One Man Gang @ King of Trios!

King of Trios 2008 draws near, and today we add the most unusual trio to the tournament ranks yet (and that's really saying something)! Reuniting for the first time in years, Demolition is back in action, and Ax and Smash will bring their reunion tour to King of Trios by teaming with none other than One Man Gang! And if that's not enough to get you going, we're going to publicly announce another trio this weekend at "Two Eyebrows are Better than One!"

Wrestlers from all across the US - as far away as Hawaii - as well as from Canada and Europe have already been confirmed for tournament action this year. Trios madness runs rampant starting Friday night, February 29th, and continuing on both Saturday, March 1st and Sunday afternoon, March 2nd. Half of the participating teams will wrestle on Night 1, the other half on Night 2, and the survivors will clash on Night 3. All three days of the tournament will be hosted at the New Alhambra (the former ECW Arena) in South Phildadelphia, and this event will feature more trios action than you can shake a stick at!

This week, we've added hotel and travel information to our site to help those looking to stay in the area for King of Trios weekend, and there will be at least one special event (apart from the tournament,) for fans to attend. So far, King of Trios 2008 will feature:

-Team WWF (Demolition Ax & Demolition Smash & One Man Gang)
-The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant & Worker Ant)
-ROH Grads (Shane Hagadorn & Alex Payne & Rhett Titus)
-F.I.S.T. (Gran Akuma, Chuck Taylor & Icarus)
-The Soul Touchaz (Acid Jaz & Willie Richardson & Marshe Rockett w/ C-Red)
-The Golden Trio (Incoherence & Helios)
-Team IWS (El Generico & Super Smash Bros.)
-The Southern Saints (Shawn Reed & Marcus O'Neil & Chris Styles)
-The Order of the Neo Solar Temple (UltraMantis Black, Hydra & Crossbones)
-Team F1rst Wrestling (Arik Cannon & The North Star Express)
-The BLK Out (Eddie Kingston & Sabian & Joker)
-Team AZW (AkuA & The Immortals)
-The Fabulous Three (Mitch Ryder & Larry Sweeney & Shayne Hawke)
-Team BSE (Kobra Kai & Super Xtremo & La Sombra)
-Team IPW:UK (Martin Stone & The Kartel: Sha Samuels & Terry Frazier)
-Los Luchadores (Lince Dorado & El Pantera & Incognito)
- Tim Donst & Drew Gulak & Andy Sumner

Before King of Trios arrives, we're going to shake off the ring rust and get all warmed up with a special pre-season show at our regular Hellertown haunt, the American Legion Hall! Help ease the stars of CHIKARA out of their winter hibernation a little earlier than usual, and raise money for a good cause (proceeds benefit the American Red Cross) by coming to see us this weekend, on Sunday, January 27th. Information and matches are posted on our website right now!

Upcoming airtimes for new episode of PWO TV:

Saturday night, January 26: 2:30 am
Sunday night, January 27: 10:00 pm; 4:00 am

Check local listings or www.sportstimeohio.com for times!
