XPW RETURNS FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!
XPW "COLD DAY IN HELL" IS UNLEASHED ON
LOS ANGELES ON MAY 24TH!
March 4, 2008 - Los Angeles, CA
From 1999 to 2004, Xtreme Professional Wrestling brought it's unique brand of pro wrestling to the masses. Then, seemingly without warning, in 2004, XPW's doors slammed shut due to non-wrestling related troubles with the company's founder and CEO. Shortly thereafter, Houston Curtis and Rick Mahr, who's Xtreme Entertainment Group (XEG) company had been distributing XPW's DVDs into retail, purchased the company's assets. These assets laid dormant until 2007, when Curtis' new Big Vision Entertainment sudio, in conjunction with XEG, began to release XPW "Class-X" DVDs. Fan response was much greater than anticipated.
"We believed there was still value in the XPW brand," Curtis said. "We just didn't realize how much. Once the XPW TV Complete First Season DVD set shipped over 10,000 units within just a few weeks, we KNEW that there was something really special here."
At the urging of former XPW VP of Operations Mike Hartsfield and XPW host Kris Kloss, Big Vision was persuaded to consider the possibility of giving wrestling fans just one more night of the good ol' days of Xtreme Pro Wrestling.
Now, on Saturday night, May 24, at Aviation Park in Redondo Beach, California, Big Vision Entertainment and XEG proudly present XPW: Cold Day In Hell!
For one night only, fans will be able to witness intense XPW action once again!
Already announced for the mega-card are Sabu, Supreme, Sandman, Raven, Homeless Jimmy, Vampiro, "White Trash" Johnny Webb, Kaos, Vic Grimes, GQ Money, Angel, Pogo the Clown, Altar Boy Luke, MDogg 20, Nosawa, Scorpio Sky and, for the first time in over a decade, The Gangstas reunited as New Jack and Mustafa join forces once again!
"This will be a night that gives wrestling fans what they've been missing!" promised XEG's Mahr. "A bit of nostalgia and a whole lot of trademark XPW action!"
And, before the night's mega-card kicks off, fans will be able to get up close and personal with their favorite XPW stars as part of the Xtreme Fan Fest which will include Question and Answer sessions and autograph signings.
With only 700 seats available, tickets will undoubtedly sell out. However, fans who sign up for the XPW Newsletter at TheXPW.com will receive a pre-sale code valid this Saturday, March 8.
