TNA 'Global Impact! Japan' DVD Review

This is a look at TNA's trip to Japan, with TNA taking on New Japan (NJPW) stars, and also a look at the press conferences and all the other goings on that surround such a tour. The interviews and features, are quite simply, fascinating; to get the views of the wrestlers on an entirely different culture.

We start with Christian Cage, AJ Styles, and Petey Williams taking on Milano Collection AT, Minoru, and Prince Fergall Devitt. Six man tag team action, fast paced, and a very enjoyable start to the DVD.

Following this, we see Christopher Daniels challenge Wataru Inoue for the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship. This is a very good match, and lives up the expectations you'd have with such talent involved.

We then see Abyss in action, against Manabu Nakanishi. The finish of the match is a little off, but this is a good (but slightly short) match up.

From here, we go to Team 3D vs Togi Makabe & Toru Yano. This is a good solid tag team wrestling match, and well worth the fifteen minutes it will take of your time to watch.

The semi main event involves The Steiner Brothers (representing TNA) against Tomko and Giant Bernard (representing NJPW) - with the added bonus that the IWGP Tag Team Titles are on the line. Jeff Jarrett is at ringside for this one, unscheduled, and without spoiling the results; his involvement doesn't take too long to come into play, and certainly plays a part in the match's conclusion.

The main event is no less that Yuji Nagata facing off against Kurt Angle. Nothing less than superb wrestling, which is exactly what you'd be expecting; and is certainly warranting of it's main event status. Extremely enjoyable.

TNA "Global Impact! Japan" is now available on DVD from TNA Wrestling’s Home Video Collection. Visit http://www.tnawrestling.com or http://www.shoptna.com to purchase it, and let's hope TNA keep up the superb work in the latest of a string of excellent DVD releases such as this.
