WWE quietly retires the Cruiserweight Championship on official website
On Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 12:47 AM EST Darryn sent us word that in the "Title Histories" section of WWE.com at this link, the history for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship has been added to the list with other inactive titles from the past.
Hornswoggle was the last official Cruiserweight Champion winning the title back on July 22, 2007 at The Great American Bash PPV. Since then the company had rarely recognized it and slowly fazed it off.
The section for Hornswoggle's reign at this link even lists it starting on July 22, 2007 and ending on September 28, 2007.
