Milton Winkelman sent this report in:
The fallout from last week's March Mayhem was felt all night long throughout the Impact Arena as IZW Wrestling held its weekly show.
After new IZW Champion Angel Williams announced that there would be a Battle Royal to determine the #1 Contender for his title as the main event, the opening match saw newcomer Tremayne Johnson challenge Kenny Campbell for the IZW Impact Division Title. Johnson won by DQ due to interference from "Mr. Saturday Night" Michael Barry, whom Johnson beat at March Mayhem in his debut. This brought out Dustin Heritage to help out, setting up an impromptu tag-team match with Heritage & Johnson taking on Barry & Campbell. Barry and Campbell won.
New IZW Tag-Team Champion Nathan Sensation then came out, expecting to face Scott Sanders one-on-one. However, with Commissioner Mike Iles not in the building, the match was changed to a Handicap Match against both members of the New Age Syndicate. Sensation still pulled out the win, only to be handcuffed and beaten with a kendo stick afterwards.
In between all of this, former Impact, Inc. member Bernie Donderwitz came on the video screen from, apparently John Zorthos's office promising his former tag-team partner a surprise for next week and payback for previous beatdowns from Zorthos, Michael Barry, and Tommy Revell. What could Bernie's surprise be? Does it involve perhaps another comeback from retirement? Show up at the Impact Arena, 5325 South Penn in Oklahoma City next Saturday at 7:00 to find out.
After Intermission, John O'Malley defeated Seth Allen, and then the Battle Royal started. With Angel Williams scouting his next challenger, the battle royal came down to Michael Barry and Tremayne Johnson. Johnson won thanks to a little help from Williams. Tremayne Johnson, who only a week earlier had made his debut was now the #1 contender for the IZW Heavyweight Title.
IZW Wrestling returns to action next Saturday at the Impact Arena, 5325 South Penn in Oklahoma City. Doors open at 6:00, with bell time at 7:00.
