WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony - Class of 2008

- The WWE promo hits.

- We then see a video package of past Hall of Fame inductees and the list of inductees this year including: The Brisco Brothers, Eddie Graham, Mae Young, Gordon Solie, "High Chief" Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson and Ric Flair.

- Todd Grisham welcomes us to the show and introduces The Rock.

- The Rock comes out and gets a huge reaction from the crowd in Orlando. The Rock shook hands with Grisham thanking him and then soaked in the reaction from the crowd a bit more. Huge "ROCKY" chant. The crowd is still going crazy screaming "ONE MORE MATCH" as he backs up smiling taking it all in. Rock thanks the crowd and said it is an honor to be here tonight. He stops himself and says something is not right. He pulls out a separate mic and says, "FINALLY...THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO ORLANDO." Another big reaction for that. He said damn that felt good and knew something was missing. Rock congratulates all the inductees tonight and that it was great to see all the smiling faces in the crowd, including Stone Cold Steve Austin. He asks where Mick Foley is and he rasies his hand. He brings up The Rock and Sock Connection. Rock said only in this business can a 280 pound man stick a dirty sock down his throat that he stores in his crotch to make him a better man. Foley laughs and smiles at Rock. He asks if Foley still has the sock and Foley puts Mr. Socko on. Rock said that is cute you drew a tux on it. He then brings up Jonathan Coachman - The Coach. Rock said no one cares about you. Next is up Chris Jericho. Rock said he can't believe Jericho is still talking about beating him and Stone Cold in the same night. He adds that it's okay considering his new haircut makes him look like a 12 year old boy. Jericho laughs. Rock said he loves the highlights - the Backstreet Boys are back in Orlando. Triple H is up next but he isn't in the crowd. He said Triple H is so obsessed with winning the WWE Title, yet Stephanie McMahon is pregnant yet again. Rock said this night is just as important as going overseas to entertain the troops in Iraq. Infact, he said there was some controversy this year in that whenever an Iraqi insurgent was captured, they would be forced to watch "The Marine" on DVD. They go to a shot of Cena who has no choice but to take it in and laugh. Rock smiled and winked at Cena. Rock said he is only kidding because he made "Doom." He then brings up Santino Marella next. Rock makes fun of his hair - his fohawk and rat tail. Rock asks for his name and he cuts him off with the usual "it doesn't matter what your name is." He then says tonight what matters is the WWE and the Hall of Fame inductees.

- We are back and The Rock introduces a video package for his father Rocky Johnson.

- A video package airs highlighting the career of Rocky Johnson.

- The Rock introduces his father, Rocky Johnson. Rocky said never in his wildest dreams did he think he would be standing here to accept this. He talked about coming from a small town in Canada and wrestling for the NWA, small territories and finally in the WWF/WWE. Johnson talked about winning the tag team titles in 1983 with Tony Atlas to become the first ever black tag team champions. He said this is a special occasion because he gets to share it with his father-in-law Peter Maivia. Johnson thanks the wrestling fans for the love and support and god blesses each and every one.

- We are back and The Rock introduces a video package for his grandfather "High Chief" Peter Maivia.

- A video package airs highlighting the career of "High Chief" Peter Maivia.

- The Rock then speaks about how inspiring his grandfather was for him to get into the wrestling business. He said the question he has always had for his grandpa was if he made him proud because he was so proud of him. The Rock then introduces his mother Ata Johnson. Ata said her father was a soft spoken man and was always ready to sing a great song for them. She said he loved this business but that was a trait that was shared by his fellow wrestlers. Ata said she applauds all the wrestlers for their chosen profession. She said here we are at the Hall of Fame and asks her father to take his final bow because this is his big finish. Ata finishes calling her father her champion and says she loves him.

- We are back and John Cena is introduced. Cena said judging by the reaction tonight you can tell WrestleMania is tomorrow. He said how you feel about me is not relevant because there would be no WrestleMania if it wasn't for these Hall of Fame inductees tonight. Cena said the legends is what turned people like him into fans and later wrestlers. He asks the fans to stand and applaud for this year's inductees and the ones that came before them.

- A video package airs highlighting previous inductees tonight including The Brisco Brothers, Gordon Solie, Mae Young and Eddie Graham.

- We are back and Triple H is introduced. Triple H first says that this is awesome tonight. He said just the fact that fans would show up tonight and pack an arena to show respect is amazing. Triple H said this next man not only deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but he should have his own wing.

- A video package airs highlighting the career of Ric Flair.

- We are back and Triple H says some nice things and funny things about Flair, including Space Mountain needing some help these days at Flair's age. Triple H said Ric Flair is, was and always will be The Man. He then introduces and inducts "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

- Ric Flair comes out already with tears in his eyes. He hugs Triple H and then thanks the fans. HUGE reaction for Flair. He asks everyone to take a seat. Flair told a story about if he never felt goosebumps before walking out to the ring, he should stop doing it. He said to this day he still gets goosebumps. Flair says it is honor enough if people think he deserves to be here. He said it is special to be in front of his peers tonight. Flair begins crying and said he respects everyone he has worked with. He said the last seven years have been special to him and it is an honor to be inducted in Orlando - the second home of Space Mountain. Flair mentions the legandary wrestling announcer Gordon Solie and thanks him for all of his hard work. He owes everything he has been to the sport of professional wrestling. Flair said he has had the honor to step into the ring with the best of them and hopes fans realizes that he gave the best he could. He said whether there was 100 or 10,000 of you, he hopes no one went home upset that they paid money to see Ric Flair. Flair said Triple H reminds him of himself during the prime of his career and wished he could have wrestled Triple H for the World Title in his prime. He then brings up Shawn Michaels and how Shawn told him he wanted to be just like him. Flair said that isn't needed because he has become one of the greatest superstars of all time. He then talks about having a wonderful family. Flair calls his father the bravest man he has ever known and said his mom was the most beautiful person he has ever known. He then thanks his wife and children. Flair then thanks his first two wives. Flair talked about tomorrow night possibly being his final match and couldn't think of being in the ring with a better opponent than Shawn Michaels. He gives one last thank you to everyone to close the show as confetti shoots over the stage area.
