In an event, in which six matches were scheduled,
a seventh match was added to an
already stacked card. With over 150 strong in
attendance, and more walking through the door,
the wrestlers of Metropolis Wrestling Federation put on a
card, a performance of epic proportions.
The card opened up with the 14 man,
over the top rope, BATTLE ROYALE.
Bobby V, Dainja, Rayza, Pinkie Sanchez, Warren Peace,
Lushious Lance & Hollywood Phil, Vince Steele, K-Von Brown,
The Empire City Assassins (Killian Whyte & Necro Black), Dirty Dan Dillenger & Corey Thorr,
and Lucifer Darksyde battled for an opportunity to
face off against the winner of the MWF World Heavyweight Title
match scheduled later on that night.
Lucifer Darksyde, an odds on favorite, walked off with
the victory, eliminating Pinkie Sanchez with
a press over the top onto an unsuspecting
Rayza, winning a title shot for the next show.
The Empire City Assassins, Killian Whyte & Necro Black,
faced off against Corey Thorr & Dirty Dan Dillenger
in a tag team war that saw a back and forth battle
of the ages. In the end, Dillenger used his swing out chokeslam on
Killian Whyte for the pin and the win.
The next bout was the open
challenge, Bobby V came down to the ring,
and patiently waited for his mystery
opponent. As he waited, berating the fans,
Party Like A Rockstar blared over
loudspeaker, Dainja stepped up to the challenge,
storming the ring, and having an all out
brawl. In the end, Bobby V secured the victory, and
another body off his hitlist.
Jay Cortez came down, still steamed about the
busted nose he suffered at the hands of Mad Dog,
but even more angry because he had to face
the MWF Intergender Champion, Lushious Lance, w/ Hollywood Phil in his corner.
After a 10 minute brawl, both men were counted out.
The next match was the Battle for Bully Street,
as "The Remix of Pro Wrestling", Vince Steele, faced off
against the ever powerful Lucifer Darksyde, in one of the stiffest matches
in the history of the MWF. The 330 pound Darksyde
took on the 401 pound Vince Steele in a match that
looked more like a gang fight than a wrestling match.
In the end, Lucifer Darksyde took the win, and the fire from
"The Remix".
AC Smooth walked to the ring with a fire
in his eyes, looking to get revenge for the attack he suffered
at the hands of "Latin Sensation" Tony Blaze in January.
Tony Blaze came out and the crowd was clearly behind
him, as he went toe to toe, fist to fist with Smooth.
Just as it looked like he was going to get the best
of Smooth, Tiberias came out and spoiled Tony's chances to
put the finishing touch on Smooth. The ref gave the victory to
Blaze via DQ, as Blaze's tag partner came down to
stop the double team on Tony.
AC then challenged Tony and his tag Partner
(Name not known at press time)
to a tag match, with Smooth and Tiberias teaming up.
Needless to say, Blaze and his partner Accepted.
After that, the tone was set, as Tiberias came down, with Jay Cortez,
ready for the fight of his career against a very
familiar opponent, the MWF World Heavyweight Champion,
Mad Dog Joe Stone.
This was an all out war, as both men battered
and beat each other from pillar to post.
The match went from inside to outside the ring,
Mad Dog was bloodied, put through a table and whipped upon.
Tiberias was beaten with a chair, and thrown into a table.
Tables, Chairs, and a belt strap was used in this devastating
contest that saw both men taken to their limits.
When the smoke cleared, Mad Dog's reign continued, as he
was declared the victor. Mad Dog then proceeded to berate
Tiberias, proclaiming to him "The Feud is Over, You Lost!!"
As Tiberias left, Mad Dog called out the winner of the Battle
Royale, Lucifer Darksyde, who was in the crowd
signing autographs for the fans.
As Mad Dog taunted the Hellion Lion, Darksyde made his way
from the crowd into the ring. Both men stood toe to toe, face to face,
jawing off at each other, both men then shook hands.
Mad Dog then hit Darksyde with the mic,
and hit his sitout choke slam on the massive Darksyde.
The 425 pound Mad Dog then left the ring, title still in hand,
and pride still intact. Darksyde shouted from the ring "I'm the future of this company,
you'll see after our match!!" Jay Cortez then made an offer to
Darksyde, to accompany him to the ring in his match against
the champ, Darksyde Accepted, with Jay's underhanded tactics,
and Darksyde's power, who knows what could happen?
Mad Dog may have met his match, we'll just have to wait and see...
