The United Wrestling League presented Homecoming 2008 in Cleveland, TN on Friday, April 4, 2008. The event was held at the Village Green Playhouse. Here are the results from the event.

Pre Game Show

Derrick King defeated Casey Kage

Before the match King heard that Kage was from Cleveland, TN and began to berate him. King ask him what he was thinking to sign a match against him in his hometown. Did he really want to lose infront of his family and friends. The match ended with Kage pounding King into a corner. The referee pushed Kage back, when he went back in, King leg dived him pinning Kage with his feet on the rope. King then grab the mic and began to make fun of Kage. Finally Kage had enough and went back at it with King. Kage tried to clothesline King, King ducked and Kage went over the top rope. King then grabbed his towel and pulled out a belt he had wrapped in the town. King strapped him twice and Kage went after with King retreating to the dressing room.

Stan Lee vs New Lord of the Ring Member Johnny Rokk with Jack Lord

Lord decided this match was going to be too easy for Rokk so it was no reason for him to stay at ringside. Match ended with Rokk going for a piledriver. Lee reversed it into a back bodydrop. As Rokk came up, Lee caught him with a spinning kick. Rokk went down and Lee hit him with the Shooting Star Press.

After the match Steve Hartline had an interview with Lee. As Lee was talking about what happened last time with Bulldog Rains stealing his Ultimate Pro Wrestler Medal and now he was going to face Orion Bishop in a return match. Jeremy Nemesis, manager of Orion Bishop, came out and asked Lee how he could look himself in the mirror knowing he had help from Rains. Nemesis then continue to taunt Lee about the Ultimate Pro Wrestler Title till Orion Bishop came out. Lee and Bishop went at it. Lee catches Bishop with a spinning leg kick sending Bishop to the floor. Nemesis holds Bishop back telling him to save it to the title match later tonight. Finally Bishop leave yelling Rains won't save you tonight.

New Lords of the Ring Member Cameron Valentine vs Don "the Machine" Buchanan

The entire Lord of the Rings (Jack Lord, Cameron Valentine and Johnny Rokk) were in the ring. When Buchanan saw them went back and brought back help of his own, Davey Rich and Damon Taz. Then a six man free for all took place with the Lords going to the floor. Match ended with Buchanan being disqualified after the ref was pushed away. The other Lords coming out. Rich, Taz and Buchanan clear the ring. Remember last time: Bull Buchanan was piledrived by the Lords on the floor and was unable to make it thru his next match.

Interview with Bill Dundee and Nature Boy Kevin White: Talking about their match later in the evening.
Sky Adams vs Casey Kage

Match starts. In a few minutes Derrick King comes out and starts distracting Kage. Sky takes over. Derrick on the outside. Kage goes out after King. Adams takes back over. Adams throws Kage in ropes. As he hits the rope, King hits him with the belt. Kage goes down. Sky then rolled him up 1-2 kick out. Kage has enough and catches Sky with a beautiful neckbreaker out of the corner and goes out after King. King runs around and back up into the ring. As Kage comes back in the ring Adams grabs his leg. King the uses the belt on Kage again. Kage gets loose. King and Adams leave the ring area. King is very popular after hitting the hometown boy again.

Derrick King vs Davey Rich:

Kage tries to come to the ring with King. Refs hold back. Out comes Davey Rich. Rich jumped by King. Rich retaliates. King goes out of the ring. Intro Match.King goes for DDT. Rich rams him in the corner. Shoots King across. Rich goes in. King legs dives feet on the rope. 1-2 Ref sees feet on rope. King thinks he as he’s won. Davey up catches with Fisherman Suplex 1-2-3. King grabs belt straps Davey out of the ring. Stands in the middle and announces himself winner. Davey comes back in and King runs from the rings.

Lords of the Ring Cameron Valentine and Johnny Rokk with Jack Lord vs Damon Taz and Don Buchanan (2 out of 3 Falls) :

Taz and Buchanan dominated the 1st fall and win as Taz uses the Fat Man Stomp on Rokk, Valentine makes the save. Taz catches with a Valentine with a powerslam.

The 2nd Fall takes a major turn when Taz is thrown outside. Jack Lord hits him with a chair and the spiral downward for Taz begins as the Lords are relentless with their punishment. Finally Valentine puts Taz away with a neckbreaker.

The 3rd Fall open with Taz unable to get up and is kicked out of the ring to the floor. Buchanan has to take on both Lords at the same time. As the referee is distracted. Jack Lord goes over and piledrives Taz on the floor. Davey Rich comes out and calls for help. Taz is stretchered out. Rich then tries to take Taz's place. Jack Lords sees Rich on the other side, goes over and grabs him from the ring. The two battle on the floor with Buchanan still having to battle Valentine and Rokk. Rich finally knocks Jack Lord to the floor comes back up and makes the tag with Buchanan. Rich comes in and cleans house. Has both Rokk and Valentine goes. Buchanan comes in and catches Valentine with the bulldog from the second rope. Jack Lord catches Buchanan and Rich. Lords tries to piledrive Buchanan. Rich comes with a chair and clears the ring.

Stan Lee vs Orion Bishop w/Jeremy Nemesis for the Ultimate Pro Wrestler Title

Lee and Bishop really went at it. This match ends in controversy as the orignal referee is knocked down. Bishop is handed a chain by Jeremy Nemesis. Bishop goes to hit Lee with the chain. Lee ducks and goes into the corner. Goes for a moonsault into a reverse DDT. Lee comes up and hit the Shooting Star Press. Another referee comes in and counts out Bishop. Nemesis steals the bell preventing it from being rung ending the match. Lee is awarded the match by the 2nd Referee when Bishop comes up and goes after Lee with the chain. The referee sees the chain and tries to stop him. Bishop sling the referee off and hits Lee with the chain. Bishop pins him and the original referee counts out Lee. The 2 refs argue about who's the winner. Both claim the other. Bishop leaves the arena. Lee and the fans say he was the winner. The referees can't decide. They finally have to send it to the UWL Committee to make the decision. Now we have 3 men claim the Ultimate Pro Wrestler Title. Stan Lee, Orion Bishop and Bulldog Rains.

Nature Boy Kevin White vs Bill "Superstar" Dundee:

Classic Match. During match White challenge Ole Anderson. It was good to see Ole back. Jack Lord comes to the ring. White former member of the Lords of the Ring. Lord upset about White leaving the Lords. Jack Lord has a chair. Dundee tries to headlock White into the chair. Dundee is ran into the chair. White covers Dundee for the win. the New Lords comes in on White. Hold up White for Dundee to hit. As Dundee draws back to hit White he nails the new Lords. Jack Lord catches Dundee. White leaves Dundee to the Lords. Valentine piledrives Dundee. Lords goes for a second piledriver and White comes in to save Dundee. Lords leave the ring. Dundee and White are left. White leaves the ring. Dundees goes over and pay tribute to Ole Anderson. Quite a moment between the 2 legends.

We would like to thank Ole Anderson for coming. We are honored to have you here and it was good to hear your distinct voice. We know you did this appearance as a favor to Ron West. We thank you Ole. You will always have a place here. Long live the Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

We would also like to thank Bill Dundee who spent the entire week with us. Dundee, who eternal optimism is contagious has been a true friend and we thank you. His energy and his love of the wrestling business can be truely felt. It's an honor to call you a friend. It's a pleasure to know you and hope we will be able to work with you for years to come.
