Todd Brantley sent this report in:
Results from NWA Empire's 2nd Anniversary show 4/12 at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawada, New York:
1. "Mr. 300" JP Hawke defeated "Mr.Ass" Dewey Gunn
2. NWA Empire Lord of the Dance Champion Stargazer defeated "The Bull of Black Mountain" Gabe Saint in a non-title match
3. Blackjack Phoenix pinned Tommy Mandrake in a battle royal earning a title shot at Empire's next show June 21st. Featured in the battle royal were Phoenix, Mandrake, "Glamorous" Glenn Dillon, Mike McGee, "Party Boy" Brett Mednik, Troy Buchanan, "Wonderboy" Zach Atticus, Steve Davidson, and Rex Atkins
4. Ron Falco (w/Mandi Stroyer) defeated Brandon Thurston
After the match, Falco grabbed the mic and called out Brodie Lee for costing him and Eric Everlast, Final Solution, a victory against Rhythm & Booze and the last Empire show and forcing them to no longer team up. Lee didn't come out, so Falco called Lee a chicken and said that at the next Empire show, he was challenging Brodie Lee to a match and that the show wouldn't go on unless Lee faced him man to man in the ring.
5. NWA Upstate Tag Team Champions Rhythm & Booze (w/Colonel Johnny Kayfabe) defeated Dunn & Marcos (w/Nikki Jett) when Buddy Delmar pinned Dunn using the ropes for leverage.
6. "Mastiff" Will Christiansen defeated NWA National Champion Pepper Parks with a top rope diving headbutt after suffocating Parks with a plastic bag while referee Brett Vincent was down. Before the match, Mastiff said that Jimmy Olsen wasn't in the building because he was booked for another show. But he feels that the real reason was because Olsen is scared of him and said he hoped Jimmy would be watching his match because the next time he steps in the ring with him, he would be in for the fight of his life.
7. "Inferno" Johnny Adams defeated "The Rican Sensation" Maximo Suave
8. NWA Empire Champion Jonny Puma defeated "Amazing" Kevin Grace
Theo1923 sent this report in:
Show began with Freddie's Korner, hosted by Fabulous Freddie. Freddie hyped the Ladder Match for next week's show and his first guest was reigning Cruiserweight Champion, Dustin Steal accompanied by "Man Mountain" Terry Tyler. Steal climbed the ladder and retrieved the Cruiserweight Championship to show how easily he's going to win. Sarah Lynn then interrupted the proceedings, claiming she was going to regain the title. Next out was Pain, then Matt Storm, who claimed of the four in the ring, he was the heaviest cruiserweight and was going to embarrass them all. Next out was Anthony Arkane and finally Johnny Knieval, who got the biggest pop of the six by far. Commissioner T.J. Dillon came out and said that if they've got an inch, he's going to scratch it and put all the competitors in a six person tag match for later that night as a sneak preview of next week.
Headcase w/ Matt Storm vs. Hanz Kittzinger - Match ended in a Double DQ when both men were no longer cooperating with the referee. Headcase put Hanz's head through a chair so hard it echoed. He then added insult to injury with a Vader Bomb. I'm told Headcase opened a gash in his arm for real during this short match, but refused medical treatment.
T.J. Dillon returned from the back to call out Hammer, who brought back a former official, Dylan Sizemore, who delivered a running headbutt to T.J.'s abdomen. T.J. made a match between the two for next week, and promised that his boxing prowess would resurface.
Ghostriders d. The Hoggs in about a ten minute match. J.D. Hogg got on the microphone afterwards and asked one of the Ghostriders if anybody had ever told him how 'purdy' he was, and if they had, they were lying to him.
Hunter O'Malley d. TN Lightning in a very quick squash match. After the match, Hunter gave an emotional promo about the injury of his brother last week at the hands of the Fallen. Hunter vowed to come after each member of the Fallen.
Intermission
Ring announcer Munkay brought us back from intermission and was interrupted by Jay Shaft, who said he was going to make the fans look like fools for cheering Munkay on next week in their tag match. Munkay finally stood up for himself and the fans and promised he'd bring his best against Jay next week.
Television Championship: Derek Billings (c) d. Daniel Mulligan to retain the Television Championship when Pain interfered.
Deathriders d. TX Ranger/Dangerous Donnie.
The Joker's Wild Match between "The Xcception" Josh Crawford and Travis Dykes was on next with some incredibly interesting stipulations. Basically, it was an Iron Man Match where a new weapon was introduced with each pinfall. The weapons that were used included a cookie sheet, nightstick, barbed wire bat, steel chair and, in a surprising use of the word 'weapon', Josh brought out Hunter O'Malley as his during one pinfall. "The Xcception" Josh Crawford d. Travis Dykes, 3 to 2 pinfalls. This meant that The Fallen don't get that tag title shot that has eluded them for so long, which was a little disappointing. The wrestling was great. Great hardcore action from Travis as always, and Josh Crawford sold like Curt Hennig, flopping and bouncing around the ring with every hit he took. I think the two guys struggled with the execution of such a complicated match. Hopefully, we get another Joker's Wild Match later on with a little more preparation and thought put into it. I'd also like to add that Travis Dykes is excellent at the portrayal of his character, reminding me of a cross between Marilyn Manson and Raven.
Six Person Tag Match: Dustin Steal, Matt Storm and Anthony Arkane d. Johnny Knieval, Sarah Lynn and Pain when Steal delivered a Frog Splash to Knieval.
World Heavyweight Championship: Modern Day Superstar defeated Oleg Romanov, Brian Michaels and Mike Blade in a Fatal Fourway to win his second PWF World Heavyweight Title. Excellent match with a textbook spear courtesy of Mike Blade at one point. Oleg, MDS and Blade all belong in or around the main event level.
