UFC confirms Brock Lesnar's new opponent for UFC 87 - Minneapolis, MN
On Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 6:01 PM EST UFC has confirmed that Brock Lesnar's new opponent for UFC 86 on August 9 in Minneapolis, MN will be Heath Herring. Lesnar was previously scheduled to face UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman, but Coleman had to pull out of the fight to due a knee injury.
Anyone who is an MMA fan knows that Herring will be an incredibly tough Heavyweight opponent for Lesnar, especially with this being his second fight ever for the UFC. Herring, a former PRIDE and K-1 fighter who made his UFC debut in January 2007, is 28-13 and is coming off a big win over Cheick Kongo at UFC 82 this past March.
