According to The Wrestling Observer, the 5/26 Memorial Day edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 2.9 cable rating. This is a drop from last week's 3.2 rating (which was a drop from the 3.3 rating the show drew two weeks ago).

There was lots of reaction to the poor number the show drew. Some have blamed the Memorial Day holiday, while others looked at the NBA playoffs as a possible reason as well. Raw generally never sees a huge drop every year on Memorial Day.

It remains to be seen how much the DVR numbers will be figured in since those won't be released for a while (the latest DVR numbers for the week of May 5-11 can be viewed at this link). Although it might be too early to jump to conclusions, the company definitely knows the audience is down (something they were aware of before this number came out) and this was evident with the Vince McMahon announcement this past Monday night.
