According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE's Florida Championship Wrestling territory is becoming filled with problems. The promotion is running either one or two shows per week, which includes the regular Tuesday night event at the Bourbon Street Night Club in New Port Richey. Many have labeled FCW as the new Deep South and they still haven't fixed up the gym so they can shoot television in it. So many of the developmental talent have yet to gain a "live-to-tape" TV experience since Ohio Valley Wrestling was dropped as a developmental territory. They have around 70 wrestlers under deals and with the current format many wrestlers are getting limited ring time. One advantage is that many wrestlers, past and present, live in Florida and have stopped by to help teach.

The Figure Four Weekly is reporting that WWE has signed Brian Cage to a deal after a tryout in California recently. WWE invited six guys for the tryouts and Cage was the only one signed. Many noted that he just happened to have had the best physique of anyone at the tryout. While the conversation was that he did deserve it, many were said to be upset about it because of the message it sent. There was also said to be some talk backstage about how Cage got knocked out taking a high cross-body from Jimmy Wang Yang during a dark match.
