TNA House Show Results for June 22 in Cincinnati, OH.

I arrive into the Cincinnati Gardens..the arena has been cut in half for the TNA show, and only half of that is almost full. So, a little under a fourth of the building was full. Probably around the side of a regular Impact Crowd in Universal Orlando...maybe a little more. The ring appears to be smaller than the TNA Impact, but I got to see Simon Diamond later, and he said that it was the same size ring they used...so it must have just been the size of the arena being bigger than the smaller Impact Zone.

Consequences Creed vs. Johnny Devine

Consequences Creed comes out to Livin' In America, along with a USA themed gimmick. I was surprised with how much regular music TNA utilized with their superstars. OK match...Consequences wins.

Winner: Consequences Creed

Traci Brooks & Roxxi Luveax vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky

Lots of back-and-forth actions between the two teams. Roxxi ends up getting the pin, while Traci is on the outside. The Beautiful People attack after the match is over, ODB makes the save...and takes them out. They take turns sharing the flash, spitting it out..and then Roxxi and ODB take a few beers from the fans.

This was the first match that Earl Hebner refereed...he had a good introduction, and also received a good reaction.

Winner: Traci Brooks & Roxxi Luveax

Eric Young vs. Kip James

Pretty good match betwee Eric and Kip. They do a lot of crowd reaction spots at the beginning of the match. Eric Young eventually transforms to "Super Eric" and automatically gets the win.

Winner: Eric Young

After the match, JB says that many famous people have came from Cincinnati, but the most famous wrestler had to have been Brian Pillman. He then introduces the special guest ring girl or something to that effect....of Brian Pillman's granddaughter.

Scott Steiner & Petey Williams vs. Kaz & Abyss

Scott runs down Cincinnati, and says that Michigan is much better. Kaz comes out, and Scott & Petey jump him before his partner is announced...Abyss. Abyss comes in and it's pretty much clean from there....Abyss wins it with the Black Hole Slam.

Winner: Kaz & Abyss

*20 Minute Intermission*...during which their set of rock music plays.

JB and a ring crew guy come out to tape a 'match' for TNA today, and an upcoming impact...that's what they said...it will probably just end up being the little TNA Today thing they do. But, anyway...they get some crowd responses...and then the match is coming up....

James Storm comes out on a stretcher drinking beer. He says his ankle is hurt, while he is wearing a neck brace. Shark Boy comes out his opponent, and Jacqueline shows him the doctor's note. He stuns Jacqueline. Since Storm can't wrestle, Shark wants to wrestle somone, so a local radio personality named Meat, is called on by Shark Boy. Supposedly, Shark was on the show this past Tuesday, and the guy ran him down. Shark stuns Meat once he gets in the ring.

Robert Roode vs. Curry Man

A really good match. Curry Man (Daniels) is really over with the crowd, and still continues to put on great matches. Robert Roode also continually proves himself night in, night out..and needs to be put in the main-event picture more often. Towards the end of the match, the lights go out. Everyone is anticipating Sting for some reason, and whenever, the lights come back on...it is....AL SNOW!!....He helps Curry Man to the win, and then does the dance moves with him.

Not sure if Al is in negotiations with TNA or not...my guess is that he only appeared because the show was in Ohio. He lives in nearby Lima, Ohio.

Winner: Curry Man

AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

Wow....I was really glad that they put on this caliber of a main event for a House Show. Joe & AJ both tore down the house, like they always do when they are paired together for a rematch. A reallly, really great match...best of the night...and a lot of different stuff between AJ & Joe. Crowd has split chants of "Let's Go Joe"..."Let's Go AJ"...Lots of TNA chants in the main event..and a couple chants of "This Is Awesome". Joe, of course, ends up winning after countering the Styles Clash, and then setting up for the Muscle Buster.

Winner: Samoa Joe

After the match, Joe & AJ shake hands. It is also stated that if anyone wants to get a picture with Joe & AJ, they are $20 in the ring. I took up the offer, and actually made it through the long line quickly. They also had many superstars came out. I was able to make out with meeting Abyss, ODB, and Angel Williams. Angel was extremely nice, as many people had left and she was still out signing autographs. Had a nice conversation with her. Also, got a pic.

Overall, a really great night of TNA action...they stated they would consider coming back soon...maybe even for a PPV. I'm not exactly sure with the kinda low crowd, so that may have just been the obligatory Coming Soon ending.
Either way, no one left disappointed from the Cincinnati Gardens.
