News on WWE's South America tour; wrestlers brought to Peru & more
On Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 5:53 PM EST According to a report by The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online, during WWE's Raw brand tour of South America, members of the old Raw roster that were moved to Smackdown are on this tour.
Carlito was pulled from Tuesday's Smackdown taping so he could be in Santiago, Chile since he had done local publicity in the market before the switch was made for him to go to Smackdown. Triple H and Jeff Hardy were also flown out for the show in Peru today as the local promoter grew upset when he found out about the draft result, especially when a lot of the advertising was focused on Triple H.
Another strong reason for deciding to flying Triple H and Jeff Hardy to the show in Peru was the fact that tonight's show is in a 45,574 seat national stadium and the show is expected to be the second biggest crowd of the year at the venue. Local promoters were expecting in the range of 40,000 at the show tonight. Saturday's show in El Salvador is also in a bigger 25,000 seat venue.
We are still looking for reports from Wednesday night's show in Santiago, Chile and tonight's show in Lima, Peru. A full schedule of the tour can be seen at this link.
