NOTES

Click here for a review from Larry Goodman of the June 28 broadcast of Showtime All-Star Wrestling’s television program. (Rich Tate)

In yesterday’s report, we incorrectly identified one of the match results from the Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling event in Bremen, GA, on July 6. We reported that Sal Rinauro beat Thomas Farnsworth and Rob Adonis in a three-way match. It was actually Rinauro over Farnsworth and Adrian Hawkins. (Larry Goodman)

IL COGNITO NEW AWF AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPION!

In the finale of the Championship Climax four way main event on Sun 6 July, Il Cognito defeated TNT, Steve Ravenous & Mark Hilton to become the new AWF Australasian Champion.

The finale saw then champion TNT smashed in the head with a steel chair thrown by the intruding Blakestone, sending him backflipping into the ring, allowing Il Cognito to capitalize with a springboard legdrop leading to the pin and title change.

Il Cognito & “The Freakshow” celebrated in ring afterwoods, as “The Detonation Crew” chased the intruders from the building.

AWF looks forward to the unfolding of Il Cognito’s 3rd AWF Title reign, and it will no doubt see interesting times with “The Freakshow” holding the balance of power in AWF rings.

Initial AWF Title defences will see Il Cognito face the challenge of Powerhouse Theo (11 July – Lambton) & Steve Ravenous (12 July – Niagara Park).

AWF management wishes Il Cognito a successful Championship reign.

We begin our 'PTW Summer Tour 2008' on Wednesday 23rd July, and will continue on all Wednesday evenings leading through to our final show there on Wednesday 27th August. The address of the venue is Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village, Warden Bay Road, Leyesdown, Isle of Sheppey, Kent, ME12 4LX.

* We wish to congratulate one of our own, "100 %" Dan Edge, on his graduation from University recently. It's no exaggeration to say that we are very proud of him. Dan is an inspiration, and a true success story.

* Due to what we believe to be unprofessional behaviour, PTW and Seb Drea have parted ways, and will not be working together in the future. Seb's most known appearance was last May at PTW "Betrayed" in a four way match that included then IWW Zero Gravity Champion Bingo Ballance, and appeared occasionally after that in 2007.

* PTW have welcomed some new talent to the roster, which has undergone a lot of change this year; something that we felt had become a necessary. Please visit the website, and our "Roster" page, to see the new arrivals in the company and learn more about them.

* PTW wave a temporary goodbye, to long term PTW stars such as Rich McClaine, Kyle Kraze, Braddock, and Ricky Regis. We wish them well for now, we remain on good terms with them; and are sure that we will be seeing them back in PTW in the not too distant future.

* The PTW website has a new webmaster, and is constantly updated; so please visit us at www.powertripwrestling.co.uk for all the very latest with future shows, and much more.

* We hope to be announcing shows in our local area for later in the year, back home in Bedfordshire; and will let you know as soon as we have some news on the subject.
