The following took place on Tuesday in Hershey, PA.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings for August 1:

- MVP defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. Jeff Hardy was at ringside during the match. After the match, Hardy told MVP to never talk about his personal life again. MVP went to attack Hardy, but Jeff took him out with a Twist of Fate.

- Mr. Kennedy defeated WWE U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match.

- Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel defeated Stevie Richards.

- The Great Khali defeated Jeff Hardy. MVP distracted Hardy leading to the finish.

- Maria defeated Victoria.

- Big Show defeated Domino.

- The Cutting Edge closed the show with Edge's special guest being Mick Foley. They had tables, ladders and chairs in the ring as Edge talked about seeking an inner peace this last week after discovering he would be facing The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam. Edge said the only person that could help him beat Undertaker was Mick Foley since Foley knew better than anyone what it was like to face Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell. He said now was Foley's chance to gain revenge on Undertaker. Foley told Edge the only person that could help him was himself. Live reports stated Foley's promo was very solid. Edge then attacked Foley, spearing him into the ringside steps. Edge then put Foley on a table and Foley responded with a mandible claw. Edge low blowed Foley, put him back on the table and jumped off the ladder crashing through.

Post-Taping Bonus Match:

- Big Show defeated Edge via countout.
